    Working on it!
I thought I'd pass this one around - as many of you, I've been working on the interior blackout of my 2020 Tundra TRD Pro (especially the steering wheel). I wasn't a fan of dipping, painting, or wrapping (because I figured I'd jack it up). But, I found an eBay seller (link below) and took a chance the seller's product would be a good fit for the shiny-ass Toyota emblem on the airbag cover.

I ordered on 07-MAR and received today (23-MAR) - shipped from Thailand. And, the finished product looks good. I'll post some more pictures when I get it installed.

Man I like the look of that. But I could never replace that one. I would constantly be worried if it met the same design features that Toyota had in mind, when that air bag goes off. Will it respond the same way, will I be eating it. Just too high risk for me.

Looking forward to seeing it installed!!

    Working on it!
Working on the steering wheel blackout this weekend - hit a snag, the metal airbag assembly has four rivets securing it to the plastic airbag cover which would have to be drilled out. I pulled the plug on the emblem change out because I am NOT drilling out rivets and replacing them with a different fastener. I'll come up with something else.

On another subject, the steering wheel controls were pulled and disassembled. I decided to paint them after my second attempt at wrapping (I don't know if I suck at it or not patient enough), but I believe the painting looks good. I used Rustoleum Acrylic Enamel 2X Flat Black with a Clear Matte topcoat (see picture).

The two pictures with the wheel in the background were after 4 coats of paint and the remaining 4 pictures were after 3 coats of topcoat. Not bad for a windy day.

Yep, I've seen that post (which made me think I could remove the Tundra's) - however, there are some steel clamps and 4 rivets which I didn't want to disturb, so I took a zero for the day.

Scott I have a 2020 Pro and changed my Steering Wheel emblem without drilling out any rivets and I took the whole Airbag apart.

I’m not sure what your missing. I found it not too difficult to remove it all.
I’ll take a look for the thread that shows the DYI with pictures. The link for where I got the emblem is in there too.

Here's the painted steering panel control plastic pieces. Word of advice - let the paint and topcoat dry well because the paint will blemish no matter how gentle handled, rags used as cushion between piece and steering wheel, etc. (I learned the hard way...had to remove and repaint one of them). So, I allowed the full 48 hours to dry. Hope it holds up.

Well, sunk a few dollars on JimmyRigged's black overlay - it is a perfect fit and tight. Changes the entire look of the wheel.

I emailed AJT and they said they will be making an overlay for the chrome Toyota logo on the steering wheel within 1-2 months.

I was going to plasti dip the emblem last week but taping off steering wheel and putting up a back drop would of took forever IMO. I used MGM touch up paint. Turned out good.
