I can find the weather on my truck and I can find an option for traffic but I can't find an option for GPS. I have a 2014 SR5 5.7 engine. I just found out I have motorized lights just trying to find out if I go to GPS.
    THANKS

You can check your sticker to see if it has navigation. I think limited has navigation. Don't think the base SR5 does. I know mine doesn't have it.

It's a TSS though. He said he had the SR5, so I don't think the base SR5 comes with navigation. I think you have to get an upgraded package. Ya'll have the TSS and we have the XPS, which is an SR5 with an upgraded package. Essentially the same thing I believe, just different regions.

YEs you can. Whether you phone is plugged in or on Bluetooth, you can listen to NAV, you just need to be in the mode you are listening through. For instance, go to audio, source, and choose Bluetooth audio, make sure Bluetooth is turned on through the phone, and there ya go. You'll give up radio and or XM. I typically use Pandora or Google Music and can hear my nav.

    My Limited has Navigation/GPS.

But my previous SR5 had a Sat/GPS antenna for the Satellite radio so I think they are all capable.

I think entune/navi is just an option. Doesn't require any special package. I have an SR5 without any packages and I have navi.

Yours is a TRD though. My buddy has a TRD that also has navigation. TRD is still considered an upgraded package.

I could be wrong! I just haven't seen an SR5 that is just an SR5 with navigation.

i think there's two different ways to get navigation - either through your phone and entune - I believe that gives you a navigation app on your head unit but uses your phone for the GPS signal... or, option 2 is native GPS in the Head unit that's independent of your phone and that's standard in Limiteds upwards. I think most SR5s have the first option.

Doesn't nav just come with Entune Premium?

I can download the app called scout gps or something and it'll play through my head unit. I've never used it. I just use google maps and let it play through Bluetooth. My mom has a limited 4Runner that has the built in navigation with entune premium.

From my research, I found the Scout GPS Ap as well, although it gets pretty bad reviews. I was surprised that my new truck didn't have the nav capability built in but it's not a deal breaker for me at all. You'd think that a $50K truck would have that feature as standard these days :stirthepot:..... but from what I hear, on-board nav units usually require a factory map update every so often that costs a premium. I can use my phone or my stand alone Garmin with lifetime map updates.

Some truck has the JBL entune that has gps built in .If yours does not ,then you can download Scout app to your phone and sync it to your entune ( it is using your phone's data )
I've been using Scout for over 6 months without any problems and it's very accurate so far

Guys you are all missing it - Use WAZE. This is an awesome nav app that takes real time traffic in consideration and dynamically re-routes you based on traffic ect. Google owns Waze now, so they only get better.
For example - I was in Luckenbach TX having a couple of cold ones but needed to be 96 miles away at 430PM for a birthday party. I entered into Waze my desired destination and desired time. it calculated my drive route and time and determined I needed to leave at 2:47 PM. At 2:30 Waze alerted me that traffic was building on my route (I hadn't even left Luckenbach yet) and told me to leave at 2:31PM. In route, it changed my route to get around an accident. I arrived at my destination at 4:29 PM.
This is an outstanding app, and for free- hell why would I use Entune Nav or Garmin, or anything else...
Do yourself a favor and check it out. Delete it if you don't like it. OH - i forgot to mention, if someone has noted on their route that there is a cop, Waze tells you "Police reported ahead". It has saved me several hundred dollars, just saying....
    Z.

My 14 SR5 TRD off-road has Nav. It's pretty decent. I'd say 95% accurate & efficient. I use it quite a bit - just wish the interface was less clunky for searching. Also wish that I could sync locations between the head unit and my phone (search on phone, select searched destination on HU). iPhone/Siri are much more efficient for searching addresses and POI's.

If you're road tripping a bunch, waze, google maps, etc use a mind-numbing amount of data.
I have NAVIGON (on my iPhone) as a backup. Frequent updates and powered by garmin mapping. Downloadable states (I have entire US if necessary). Paid $25 for it on the app store about 5 years ago. I think it's over $50 now. Still worth it, imo.
