I added some LEDs tapped off the driver footwell socket, but they only come on when the doors are opened. Is there a way to have them turn on via the interior light switch?

I'm also adding footwell lights. I want mine controlled with the headlights. I'm in the process of performing my research, if I find anything helpful I'll let you know.
If you find any info please let me know.

The factory footwell light on the drivers side is only on when the door is open.
I tried the cargo switch and the interior light switch.

Rx350 retrofitted, Morimoto Led fogs. interior and exterior leds swap. TRD drop in filter. Carbon filter delete. Led DRL panels. TRD Shift knob.

That shouldnt be too difficult i wouldn't think.
Use positap on headlight 12v+. Ran a long wire from that to inside the cabin. Join your footwell led red wire to that. Ground the footwell led to chassis.

Footwell will turn ON whenever your headlights turn ON.

BrandonL812, will you provide additional detail please? Years ago on a Denali, I tapped into a ‘triggering headlight’ wire so that, as you described, my footwell lights turned ON when the headlights turned ON. Having trouble locating “the” wire to splice into... thank you.

I believe theres a signal for the headlight turn-on inside the cab. Under the dash on the drivers side. I tapped into it when installing my @iHacker harness for my ‘19 LED headlight upgrade.

u might want to attach a dimmer to that though. If u have footwell LEDs on while driving it could hinder your ability to see out. Kind of like driving with the map lights on, it creates glare

    my footwells are bright

I would get one of those "Add a Fuse" link. Pop the fuse panel off inside the cabin, driver kick panel. Find the parking fuse. Or taillight fuse. Then connect your positive (12+) from the light to the "add a fuse" line. Then ground wire from the light to your chassis, any metal bolt.

This way when your parking(tail light also) light is ON, your footwell light would also turn ON.

Of course the fuse from the fuse box you remove would be 10amp, but your footwell wouldnt need 10amp.. i would say a 2, 2.5amp would be enough.

    I hope that make sense.

Here's a vid on how the add a fuse work.

My SR doesn't seem to have footwell lights at all?
Am I correct or do you think there might be a problem?

I will have to search for them I guess when I get back to the truck which is in Quarantine right now!

If they do not have them at all does anyone know if there is a pulled fuse/relay where they should connect,it should be pretty simple to add them I would imagine.

@ezdog my SR also lacks the footwell lights. On my 2018 I don’t even have the pigtail that comes of the harness to plug a bulb into.

Probably, there are also map lights overhead that turn on with the doors so I imagine I can find the fuse for those in the panel too if I look.
