I'll definitely be buying the Griots MF and foam pad cleaner.

Excited to try it out but the temp is cold here. Any clue what temp needs to be to polish a vehicle?

War machine, would you ever use Jescsr before or after a ceramic coating?

I have read good things about powerlock and have a MGM tundra. Here shortly I plan to wash the truck with dawn, iron x, bug and tar remover, clay bar/mit, carpro Essence, then cquartz 3.0. Would powerlock (or any sealant) fit into this sequence?

Of course I plan to test out this sequence on my wife car first, it’s black and has a fair amount of swirl marks that need to be addressed.

20190726_185129.jpg 20190726_003445.jpg 20190726_175300.jpg I used powerlock cuz Jason sent me some and recommended, I absolutely love it and will use it again. I talk about reload, hydro2, and breadmaker a lot but powerlock is my favorite sealant. The others are just a little easier to use. It would be used after the ceramic, like a week after to be safe, but may not be necessary, and you'd wanna use reload every 3-6 months over the cquartz as carpro recommends. But that said, powerlock is bad ass. This pic is after paint correction and powerlock, this truck is rarely driven but sits outside 24/7, it looks just like this still and is slick as can be 9 months later

Did you have to wet sand any of those scratches or were they all removed in the polishing process? I went back today and re-read the thread about your brother’s truck. Tons of good info and the truck looks awesome. I have some scratches on my hood that I will need to address. 3EDC75D0-74BB-426C-A456-4672732FDF00.jpg

No wet sanding. I used some meg's m105 with a wool pad or yellow pads. Also used carpro clear cut on some of them, the clear cut was a little better amd dusts way les . But the 105 worked miracles with that wool cutting pad. Then I used 205 with orange and black pads.

Finally took the G9 for a spin. Pretty impressed but first I've used so I have nothing to compare it to. Ended up only doing the driver's side of my truck, will hopefully finish tomorrow after work.

Once polished I put a coat of powerlock plus on. I'm going to wait 4-5 hours and top it with something. I have colinite 845, cherry stuff from shine supply, clutch and punch it from shine supply, paste wax from shine supply, and a few paste waxs from waxaddict. Decisions, decisions.

    Any recommendations @Pudge @War Machine @phogallen @BTBAKER Or anyone else I didn't tag?

I heard the collinite 845 haze's a day later so I'm not sure if I'll go that option. Thinking about the cherry silica wax from shine supply and wipe it off with clutch.

A lot of people swear by collinite over powerlock, very popular combo.
I haven't used many shine supply products but Jason has and I think from what I recall he really liked the cherry wax.

Used beadmaker on my daughter's Suburu last night. I forgot how slick beadmaker is.
