Hi,I recently purchased an 07 Tundra, just got it lift 2 1/2 in front and 1" rear ,20"x12.5 rims on 33 tires and I just notice my front pass side tire sticks out a good inch more than the driver side. Went for a wheel alignment and there's no issues. I wonder if anyone here has had this issue before? Thanks

Ya'll think that could be coming from the driver side lean on our trucks making it look like the passenger side is further out? Or is that just an issue on the Gen 3?

Previous wreck? I had an issue with a previous car, shop tried to give it back to me with the rear wheel sticking past the fender 1/4" or so, said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Ended up being a cracked hub housing.

I think I've read about the rear axle being off-centered sometimes which would cause the wheels sticking out further on one side...but I don't recall reading about the front axle being that way.

Welcome from CO jrod. I have an 07 with zero issues as far as what you are describing. Can't think of any reason why you would have a 1" offset unless something isn't quite kosher.
Source??? I haven't heard of this.

I know the rear axle is longer than the front. Never heard about it being off center.

Yeah. Found that out when I put those spacers on my truck. Just looking at them the rear axle is probably about 2-3 inches longer than the front axle. They used to do it to help with tracking on the 4x4 trucks. I'm assuming it's done for the same reason by Toyota. Every other manufacturer makes the front axle longer than the rear though as far as I know. I know Chevrolet and ford has longer front than rear axles. But it's only by a few inches.

Nowhere official, that's the problem, I've yet to find an answer. But just about every single Toyota forum has threads about it. Google it, you'd be surprised, and it's been talked about for many years. I just chalk it up to one of those quirks without an answer, just like the Tundra lean

Climate change is not official either but, and lots of threads about it too. I've yet to find the answer. (No junk science)
