I have the extendable tow mirrors on my truck. One mirror pulls out with a little force, my other won't budge. My truck rocks when I pull on it. Any advice on how to free it up?

Looks OEM like mine. Maybe some sand and grit in there creating friction

    You could try some WD40.

Tried it. Is there anyway of getting inside or the top cap closest to the truck? Without breaking it

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
You could try unbolting the mirror from the truck, that might give you access to the internals? should be 3 bolts behind the door panel.
*Disclaimer I don't have those mirrors so I don't know if this would give you any additional access its just a thought.

I had the door panel off yesterday to replace my door check. Should of looked. It's quite easy to pull it off. I will have another go at it

I removed the endcap in between the arms and shot some lubricant onto the slides, that worked for me.

Do have a picture for me so I don't go cranking on something and break it?

Sorry should have been more descriptive.

The cap inside the red circle, squeeze the area in yellow also the frontside of the same cap. You can use a screw driver but will most likely scar up the surrounds.

You will have two slides that are housed in the extendable portions, spray with lubricant.
That should free up the slides.

I would recommend silicone spray lube. It goes on wet and leaves a dry film that wont attract more dirt/grime into that area, and its waterproof

So I took the mirror off, sprayed the shit out of it with better than WD-40, and you would think that would of loosened it up???? Nope. Warmer weather is coming and I will remove it completely and take to the work bench and see what I can do. Thanks to all for the help.
P.S. stilll haven't gotten my decal. Lol
