    Very nice!
What was the process, and what fog lights are those?

Thanks guys! I’m getting pretty close to done with the exterior of the shell. Will get a good photo of it next time I see a good opportunity.

Opening up the headlights was pretty straightforward.

-Pull the headlights off the truck. 2 screws up top and one on the fender side underneath the trim pieces below the light.

-Remove the torx screws from the back side of the headlight and the rubber seals from around the reflector bowls.

-Bake headlights in the oven at 215* for about 10 minutes (or until golden brown). Make sure you preheat the oven and the element isn’t red when inserting the headlights. This should greatly reduce the risk of meltage.

-Separate the lens from the housing. Using a flat head screwdriver to pry between the lens and housing will help get it started.

-Bezel comes out with the lens and is held in by two more torx screws. The plastic reflector pieces just snap into the bezel.

-if you want to paint the high beam bowl amber, you’ll need the “canary yellow” Krylon stained glass paint. Mask it off and shoot 4 or 5 really light coats.

-The bezel needs to have the chrome removed before painting. I used a red scoth brite pad under the kitchen faucet. It goes pretty quick as it isn’t a super thick coating. I didn’t remove it completely from the fine detailed areas but I got pretty close.

-Paint for the bezel is up to you. Whatever you decide, I recommend a couple good coats of adhesion promotor before spraying.

-I would give the bezels a while to dry before reinstalling the reflectors. They’re easy to scratch if the paint isn’t fully cured. Klearz.com also sells clear and smoked replacement reflectors if you don’t like the orange.

-Reassemble the bezels into the lenses and stick the lenses back on the housing.

-Bake the lights again and press the lenses firmly into place until all the clips re-engage the lens. They don’t ever fit like they did originally but you should get close.

-Reinstall the torx screws and reflector seals and you’re good to go.

Hope that helps! It sounds much more complicated than it is. I definitely recommend giving it a shot though!

-edit: Rex, Fogs are just el-cheapos off eBay. Actually pretty nice for the money.

Got the land cruiser 200 snorkel installed. Fits pretty good, just need to finish plumbing it. Had to order some different intake tubing.

It needs to be removed to facilitate the snorkel. I use my telephone and Spotify anyway .

Looks so good. Could you post a shot from the front of the truck? I would like to see how closely the snorkel lines fit the body lines. Thanks!

here you go. I added some weatherstrip to the snorkel to fill the small gaps. If you didn’t know it wasn’t made for it you could never tell.

How much of a pain was it to sand and paint your truck? I got a crew cab and want to line mine too.

The outside isn’t too bad but the door jambs are a pain in the dick. If you want to do it right, everything has to come apart. It probably takes as much time prepping one door jamb as it does the whole exterior of the truck...and you have four...

Bump. Do you have more info on how you setup the camper body?

There is a guy selling the same exact one locally but without the side access doors. I bought a cheap slide-in truck camper a few years back to fix up, but it's not fixable. Those things are just too prone to water damage. This would make a great little camper and keep water out better I think.

How heavy is it? Is it a pain to remove from the truck?
