found a thread about brake control installation and knew I needed to get on this, I have the tow haul, the 7 pin, and the 4 pin conns., what do not have is a brake controller. so that is what I need to get some info. on

I have a 2003 4R, I have EMU suspension and brake control, added AFE cold air intake and use it a lot VOT pulling grades with 21 ft. Spree Travel trailer...the Tundra I expect will hardly notice.

I think the prodigy p3 is what is suggested most, teckshona or something like that. And ESP makes a little trim piece to make it look good.

You may also need an adapter wire that can be purchased online for plug and play from the p3 to the truck. I think it was around $10 on eBay when I got it.

Installed the Tekonsha P3 controller in my 14 in early 15. Never looked back. With the plug and play harness from Tekonsha and swapping out the panel to accommodate the controller, it has served me well.
