Hi, I have mixed feelings about maybe buying a new 2017 Tundra. I've had Tacomas since they started and an '89 truck before then. I have a "love/hate" relationship with my '08 Tacoma. It has gone every where I've asked it to but it doesn't have the integrity that my older models had. So, I've been thinking about stepping up to a Tundra. I hope joining this Tundra site will help me make up my mind. Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Nissan don't ring my bell. I've been a Toyota person since '72 and hope to stay. Thanks, The Polack

Feel free to swing by the shop here in Gilbert. You can come pick the brains of all the people here and I think you would be pretty impressed by the store front.

Welcome from Northern Colorado - love Prescott and the Mogollon Rim.

Just took delivery of a new to me 14 CM LTD and outside of the cheesy sound system, it's a bad ass truck...very happy to own one.

Thanks guys for the welcome. I appreciate it. I've done my home work on KBB and BlackBook on trade in and retail prices and new truck prices. But being a small town with only one Toyota dealer the dealing may be one sided. Thanks again, Don

If need be, expand your horizons. I live in Northern Colorado - where everything all-wheel drive or 4x4 fetches a premium. Great when you sell, sucks when you buy. I bought my Tundra from Texas and had it shipped to me. After the purchase and shipping - I still saved 4-5k vs. purchasing locally (to be used for mods) and ended up with a mint truck. I could put 50k miles on my truck and still get very close to what I paid for it. Don't limit your reach...

Best wishes - these are awesome trucks.

Thanks, that's something to look into. As far as 4X4, up here it's the same. My '08Tacoma only has 24,040 miles on it
(it only hunts, fishes and off road) so my book trade in is 17-18K with retail at 21K. The dealer would only give me 15K until I showed him Black Book list at $21,300 so he re-figuring. A couple things I will miss if I decide to go with a Tundra are no locker in the rear and what I read that the oil filter is underneath and not like the Tacoma which is on top. I'm 76 and changing the oil is a lot easier with the Tacoma oil filter location. But I sure like the Tundra!!!!

Welcome Donald. I promise you won't be disappointed with a new Tundra. Don't forget, all new Toyotas have free oil changes for the 1st 2 years and after that if you don't want to climb under for the filter change, the dealer "oil change only" service is not much greater than a DIY with synthetic. Good luck with all.

Tims Toyota up there is pretty good plus the sales guys don't get paid on commission anymore. At Tims they are on a straight salary. Helps motivate em to be straight and honest.
