I remember you brought this up before, but I never told you I had a family member that had the same thing happen to them 35 years ago. This person lost their hand and partial arm just to below the elbow. Never stopped them for doing anything to this day.

I have the OEM original front sway bar but my front end isn’t jacked up high like yours. I’ll look for pics.

Back when I was in the ‘Olive Oil’ business, before my hands were discovered, they were at their prime moisturized essence.

Do you have the original speakers still in place and the sound is better? Can’t remember if you installed new speakers or not.

I installed new speakers back in 2018 when I did the stereo. They were cheap JVC but better than the old originals.

literally a pizza dough machine? I was young and dumb and bypassed safeties to clean one.
Yeah I’m really thankful I still have all my digits and mobility, I’m sure when I get older it will hurt like a bitch. It’s definitely more sensitive if I bust a knuckle on that side. I’m way more cautious where I stick my hands now!

It was a machine in the meat dept.

The thing clamped down and wouldn’t let go. Fire and Rescue had to disassemble the machine which is why the arm was lost due to taking 2 hours.

Oh my! Luckily I went into the coarse(1st pass) and the guys in the shop were able to open the adjustment and then back pedal the belt on the transmission.

    pffft, what's a CD. Haha.

Ok guys I'm at a dilemma. Originally I had a crappy broken touch screen radio the PO installed when I bought the truck.
I then bought a basic double DIN radio with an actual (My one necessity on any radio for some reason) volume knob that works great.
Had a hell of a time wiring it cause the PO cut wires and basically made his own metra wiring harness and wired in his parrot handsfree kit with it which made things even worse. Well, I finally figured it out, replaced all the speakers and have been living with it ever since.
Fast forward to today, and my wireless backup camera doesn't work anymore. I would LOVE to get a touchscreen radio with an integrated backup cam and xm radio AND a volume knob. Just don't know if it's worth the whole rewiring cause I'm not sure I could tear out the POs wiring and try to get back to OEM to install the Metra kit I still have sitting in my garage.

(Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.

There's no way this won't make a difference.

Been babying my front doors the last few days.

Cleaning all sides of the panels, adding 80mil Noico sound deadening material where needed, wrapping wires and plastic clips in friction tape, and, of course...

Can't do all this noise insulation without upgrading the speakers. These 6.5-inchers fit right into the factory mounts, so all I had to do was solder them in.

The foam isolation kit I got from Amazon was pretty nice as it had foam for the outside, inside, and behind the speaker units.

I also replaced the gasket behind the mount, probably didn't make much difference, but might as well.

    Shouldn't have done this, though:

The plastic panel didn't really go back on the door right, so I'll have to get back in there and remove some. Definitely learned the lesson that the plastic panels can't take that much and should only use thin stuff. The doors are also very heavy now.

I didn't realize I was an audiophile until now. I'm addicted. I get the craze surrounding upgraded speakers, subs, amps, and all that crazy stuff. Once I installed these I just sat there and listened to the high-quality sound for a bit. It was nice. Can't wait to do the rear speakers and add a head unit to complete the job.

Wow! I bet that took a while to fit all those cracks and voids individually. I added some foam in the red areas that act as standoffs to the panel tabs. I think this is what you were trying to achieve with your foam strip botching.

Get a nice bit of acoustical foam for parts where you can fit it. Amazing how much road noise that stuff kills

That's got to be one heavy door panel!

I see everyone add this stuff, but doesn't anyone actually use a roller on it? I rolled all mine until the diamond pattern was smooth.

Okay, so I have been delinquent on getting a write-up done on the AMP Powersteps, partly because my mounting solution is so redneck that it hurts, but they are working. I'll work on that.

Had to get the boards done to protect these guys :) New skins and heaters went in a week or so ago--LOVE THEM. Roadwire kit, colors are Brown (#113) and Sahara (#078), installed by Thad Martin in Vancouver, WA. Great work at far less than Roadwire's "network" installers.87984446_525156184837655_5904360128143949824_n.jpg 20200226_110423.jpg 20200226_100105.jpg

Popped open the headlights again and made some changes. I was running some Phillips DRLs in the bumper for the past eight years and one started to fail this month. Thought I'd try some halos out to see if I might like them. These are the 80mm white from @Diode Dynamics. Bright SOB's... I wired them for 50% brightness with parking lights and off when the headlights are on.

Oh yeah. The little marker light inside I drilled out a 1" hole and installed some Wurton 3w rock lights in it. Spliced them into the original harness the Philips DRL lights used.

Okay that was a little bit sarcastic. Yes I did use a roller, the material is highly adhesive and sticks just fine with the amount I have rolled it.

How'd you wire em to turn off with the headlights on? I'd like to do that same thing when I get my demon eyes projectors installed
