I think to trade in my two canisters was $109. I then shipped my used ones back to them - they covered shipping.

you should seriously consider that replacement kit.. instead of the cartridges you just fill the blue canisters up.. a ton more DI water

but still the search goes on..lol

That’s the best I’ve seen so far but haven’t invested a ton of time on it. I did read somewhere that aquarium supply places have it at a good price.

No DI yet. Maybe Santa will bring me one if he gets a bonus check this year lol.

I will definitely set one up in my next house/garage

I was going to suggest this. I had a RO/DI setup when I was running a large reef tank. It is extremely important to have 0 TDS water running high end corals and such. Try BulkReefSupply.com or AirWaterIce.com.

Yes maybe even better. Reef keepers are super particular and livestock and thousands of $ can be on the line if you screw up with water quality.

This is good stuff. Is there a specific kind to look for that will work with our units?

I would think any of the DI resin would work excellent. They are pretty much the same. Some are color changing when they need replacement - that is nice if you have a clear housing.

I’ve been reading a ton, and it looks like the resin we need is called “MAG-MB”. Still working on finding the best price. Problem is a lot of these companies use different units of measure. DI uses cubic feet, others use pounds, and some use liters. Trying to figure out what a cubic foot of this stuff equates to in pounds. I read one place that said a five pound bag will fill up one tube on the DIC 20.

I’m also going to order some of the cartridges like @marc32 got.

    I think 1 cu ft = 35lbs

The shipping weight from DI Rinse is 45 pounds, so it’s around there. I still haven’t found a better price. Even the aquarium supply guys are much higher.

I’ve read a few people do a DI tank rental exchange thing that looks like a decent idea.

Guys, from my experience with my setup. I've been really seeing good results with my cars and trucks. I bought my resin off Amazon.

Which one did you get? Haven’t found one better than the $200.00 per cubic foot price.

If you think to look at some point, can you see how hard those cartridges are to open up and refill? The cartridges are easier to use, but cheaper to buy the resin by itself. If the CR ones could be refilled easily, that would be the best of both worlds.

4CB06FAC-8EA7-41F1-AD61-96F7CBE1FCE8.jpg I’m thinking about doing DI rinse mod with this system! I really like how this system goes together and I think doing the mod would be perfect to help me get even more from the resin!

Bringing this back up, anyone on here with the DI Rinse Pro 100 putting out bad PPM within 2 months? I received my DI Rinse Pro100 Mid January and have been using it every other weekend as a final stage rinse on the truck. Just a couple of days ago I got curious to check the PPM and it shot up to 8xxppm coming out from the DI system. Strange because the city water is at 280ppm. I started noticing spots on the truck, not heavy spots, but there were spots on there.

Checked the system again and now its showing 140 x10 PPM. Been emailing Wayne @ DI Rinse about this and haven't come up to any final solution yet....
