It's in the pic you posted . Top row on the right . Looks like it says Mobil 10w-20 . They didn't put a space between the 1 and 0. It's 0w-20

Thanks for the tip. The rebate is going on now. Ends 5.31. Comes out to about $2.70 per quart.

Not to derail, but I used this stuff for my first change and had bad valvetrain noise. I left it for a few miles but didn't go away. So I dumped it and have gone with OEM every since. Not that much more expensive.

    Isn't OEM just rebranded Mobil-1?

I don't think you can go wrong with this stuff - if it's good enough for Porsche, It's good enough for me.

I didn't specify, but now I remember I used Mobil 1 advanced fuel economy because that's all I could find on the shelves anywhere. That stuff causes the valve train noise. Around here nobody has the regular Mobil 1 synthetic so I just go to the Lexus dealer.

Edit: Now I see in the picture for this deal that it is advanced fuel economy. Is that what you guys are using? I had valvetrain noise immediately, so I went online and found other examples where they had the same issue in their 5.7.

I changed mine at 5k with the 0w20 Mobil 1 advanced fuel economy and haven't noticed any valve train noise.

I use the advanced fuel economy and i have no valve train noise issues. Maybe there wasn't enough oil in the truck? I'm actually going to change out my oil tomorrow morning so i can let you know how it sounds yet again if any of you guys care to know.

There was the correct amount. I found a few YouTube videos showing the same thing. The oil must actually be thinner or something. But if you don't hear it you probably do that have it. It is loud at idle

That's a regional thing. Here it is 2 years. But I'm not letting them touch my truck.

Yes Toyota is 2 years and I got another 2 years from the dealership.

Why would you not want the dealership to do free oil changes? They have treated me wonderfully. So well, I plan to buy my wife's next vehicle there.

The advanced fuel economy is whats readily available around here as well....Wally world , etc., and it's the one I bought to do mine next time its due, but the Mobil One website shows 5 different ones available in 0w-20.

The other 4 are, Advanced protection ( good for a year or 20,000 miles ), Extended performance (don't know what the difference is here), High mileage (more than 75,000 miles; doesn't seem high to me, nor does it apply to my truck), and Mobil Super (outperforms conventional oils).

I wonder which one the dealer is actually using.

I think the Advanced protection is kinda a sham. Considering the 0w20 advanced fuel economy is rated up to 1 year or 10,000 miles...which is when we're supposed to change our oil anyhow (If you are regular 5.7 and 4.6, not flex). I read up a bunch on the differences on the AFE, and the EP, and the only difference i found is that the AFE is slightly, and i mean slightly less viscous.

I had them rotate my tires after I did my first oil change. Here's why I won't let them touch my truck

    1. Scheduled appointment for 7am for tire rotation. First of the day. I needed to be at work at 8. I asked how long when I got there, they said 15 minutes. They didn't start on my truck until 8. I could do my own tire rotation AND oil change in my garage in that time. I watched the tire rotation through the window of the waiting area, and for whatever reason they had to pop the hood. I saw after he closed it he wiped the bulge area down (probably with a dirty and scratchy rag). There was oil and dirt on the hood bulge when I got it, including a dirty hand print.

    2. Next tire rotation I did myself. I could barely get the lug nuts loose since they over tightened them.

    3. I brought my truck in for a check engine light (hose was leaking from the gas tank). I also had them check my tailgate since it was rattling pretty bad. The guy there was about to test it by slamming the tailgate shut with my set of keys still in the tailgate lock. That would have left some nice scratches in the thin paint. I had just washed and waxed my truck too. Luckily I stopped him in time, but that's just another indication how they treat your car.

    4. My wife has a certified pre owned lexus from the same family dealer. Her car was originally purchased and serviced from this dealer. I went to do the first oil change on her car (which has been easy and no mess on the Tundra with an oil drain valve and filter drain kit) but they torqued the filter drain cap on so hard that the whole filter housing would spin. So I had a messy oil change since I couldn't drain the oil from the filter with the kit. I tried to remove the cap once I got it off the car, but with a vise and breaker bar it would still not come off. So I had to buy a new filter housing and cap.

I'm sure I would have more examples if I kept going there. Never again.
