Jinxed himself when he said that. I'm really glad he changed his mind about that 'cause we've been having a sh## ton of fun. It's been pretty routine, 3-4 days a month for the last 5 months or so.

Bastrd trip feels like this at first.

Then slightly before the first trip ends(trying to catch Warrens dust cloud).

 

I was just doing a little Tundra/marriage counseling today. Poor guy got a dent in his rocker panel and didn't want his wife to see it. I had to tell him that's not the proper way to deal with the situation. First, be honest and show her the dent, then say, "see honey, I need 37s."

 

Hahaha my only prob was when I said see babe it has a spacer lift and side steps it’s already done

 

Just going to 37’s is $7-8k. Tires, wheels, fender, gears and locker.

Uh, been awhile. The move to LT has had a few bumps for me, but with the help of my friends Kyle Green Fabrication, and Alex @osidepunker, got it almost sorted out.

Rear suspension - First trip out it was really obvious that the rear frame moved too much for the springs and bumps to work properly. Second issue was the springs, my truck is too heavy when loaded down for them and ride height was too low constantly hitting the bumps.

Fix - Box rear frame with tube bracing, re-arch rear springs with an additional leaf added.



Bending the front frame and motor mounts - I do my own alignments, and my camber kept going negative after each trip, something had to be bending. So I spent some time figuring it out, the coil tower and frame rolled in towards the engine, and in the process it shoved the motor mounts in till they were destroyed.

Fix - Frame shop to straighten frame, @Bonzen Solid Off-road motor mounts.




Stop frame from bending - After some planning with Kyle, we developed a plan to brace the front end with a removable engine brace connecting the coil towers. In addition there is tube bracing underneath.





Bumper and skids - Project snowballed a little, but I needed a bash proof bumper and skids anyways.





Lots more to update, and big list of little projects to tackle before T2S.

More reasons for me to drive slow and not drive faster than my wallet allows. Awesome build. What did you do to add the tubing to the transfer case skid?

Just some reinforcements to the frame under cab. That tube will be supporting the truck on a rock at some point soon...
