So I ordered the trd pro kit and bora spacers last week and I’m waiting for shipping details. I plan on adding the 285/70/18 tires also but wasn’t sure if I need to go ahead and do it as soon as the kit and spacers are installed or if I can wait a week or so. This is prolly a dumb question but one I have been thinking about since I’m new to the whole lift kit scene. I know that the truck with the coach builder installed would make my stock tires look EVEN smaller but after the install quotes I’ve been getting I prolly gonna need to wait so I can convince the wife why new tires are required even tho the stock ones are brand new lol. My thinking is she will get tired of the itty bitty tires and get me a solid Valentine’s DayPresent lmao

Interested in this lift for my Pro. One issue I dont see mentioned here often, at least not as often as Tacomaworld, are CV angles. Anyone running into short term issues with their CV angles after lifting it further?

Im not talking after 50k+ miles, more like within a year.

Also, hows your caster on stock UCAs?

Anyone rocking 20"s on a coachbuilder Pro setup? Some of my wheel choices are only coming in 17 or 20...

I have a silly question... who is installing this stuff for you fine people? For example, I purchased some spacers for my Voodoo Blue baby and thinking I could just head to a tire shop or 4x4 place to get them tossed on for a few bucks...Nope. No one will touch them for liability purposes. So now I have to do them myself when the weather gets nice. I am seriously looking into a coachbuilder kit, but I am afraid that I will run into the same issue. So is everyone here super skilled and can do this stuff?

I would reach out locally to see if there's a Toyota Master tech that would want a weekend project. I had one of my buddies look over the instructions and gave me a very very reasonable quote to get everything done.
I definitely trust someone that takes apart truck suspensions and drivetrains for a living for Toyota.

My 35 BFGs are in stock and I'm super excited to get this done.

Hoping my 18x9.5 et12 5.72 wheels won't require a spacer. Fine either way.

I did read the whole thread, but may have missed it.
I’m wanting to run just the 1” shim and steering kit. And only looking for 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 on BFG KO2’s. Anyone running this set up? Can you show me a pic? Did you have to remove the fender/mud guards or do the BMC? Thanks!

I joined the local Tundra Facebook group. Got in touch with all kinds of vendors and installers for various things. Found an awesome shop run by a former toyota tech for 15 years that went out on his own. He’ll be doing my shackles soon.

What’s your thinking on the spacers? I hate my BBS wheels sticking inside! But I like them a lot and don’t want to replace them. But everyone I talk to about spacers say don’t do it. I’m conflicted

Spacers just need some attention to make sure they are flush and torqued accordingly as they are often the cause of vibrations. A good set that is hubcentric will minimize those issues.

Yes. I’ll try to look for a pic. Definitely too much space in the wheel wells, so I went with 35’s and wheel spacers

Not at this time. The upgraded joint upfront will help with travel as the front only went up an inch.

They are in stock at some 4Wheel Parts, sometimes on Amazon. Impressed they just snapped on. Very snug fit

    Rigid Part Number 201933

I will say that they cut the light output down a bit but look sooo clean.

It doesn't feel too bad on the factory wheels which happen to be pretty light. Getting a heavy cheap aftermarket wheel would suck a bit more. Definitely still has pep as pictured.

Planning on a blower and 37s once I get heavy with sliders and a bumper.

spoke with david (super helpful) going with a 3" CB shackle in the back, stock pro front. Hoping to have a small rake to allow for a leveling out when I pull my boat. should be getting the shacks this week.

98% of the time no rub. CMC would solve it in reverse as certain angles, and depends on the 35. Not all are the same.

Im up here at Toyota, having them install the 3” shackles. They are pushing in the bushings now but came back and told me that they are concerned that with no load, the leaf will hit the exhaust. Did they install incorrectly? They had the step by step provided by david. And advice?

After the install the springs will rest in the exhaust at full droop.
