Gotcha. My issues with the slip yoke was that just before I came to a stop it felt like I had been lightly rear-ended. Just noticeable enough to be annoying. But it didn't make any noise. It certainly wouldn't help to try greasing that first. Have you inspected your rear drums for anything unusual?

I haven't taken them apart. But I did just adjust them after unforking my parking brake to return both to active duty.
The 'thump' was there before, so I don't suspect it's brake-related with regards to actual function of the brakes.

If anything, I think the decommissioned drums put undue strain on the leaves and fatigued them slightly from axle-wrap holding the rears during braking. (the rears were basically useless until last weekend)

Grease up all the zerks! A cheap and easy maintenance item, if not done yet, would check that off the potential problem box.

Maybe just get one of those ladder/utility racks that fit over and around a topper (and are supported by the bed like the shell isn't there).

Saw Raptor lights in the grill of a Chevy work truck today. Got me thinking I should do them in the grill of the Prius. :anonymous:

The spare is definitely solidly mounted.
I'm finishing the engine bay in my project car on Saturday and then Sunday while it's super nice outside, I'll crawl under the Tundra. I'll report back Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Has anyone swapped out their seats to install power seats? Is there an easy plug and play option or is does it require a bunch of dicking around?

At the very least, I want a power seat for my driver seat. Being of odd dimensions, I find I'm always screwing around trying to get comfortable. The perfect spot is naturally somewhere between the settings that my manual seat has. No matter what vehicle I drive with manual seats, I have this problem. My old 94 pickup, my 203 F150, The Woman's 2009 Ram 1500, her current 2013 Corolla S, my Tunrads. My GMC Sierra had power seats and I was able to finely tune the adjustment and get it super comfortable. Most comfortable truck I've ever owned.

I dont see how power seats would power seats would help that, if anything youd just take longer to find a comfortable position since you have to wait on the seat motors.

It's not about time, it's being able to adjust by 1/4" or 1/2" here and there. When I slide my seat, it's like 2" or more between notches. Going up and down with my seat back is the same. If I slide the seat to where my feet are comfortable on the pedals, I'm too close to the wheel. So I lean my seat back to the next notch and now my arms are stretched too far out. I need a spot somewhere in between. With a power seat, you can make really small adjustments and not have to rely on pre-set points of adjustment.

Steering wheel would need to go closer to the dash, not farther. I can get my seat comfortable and have a relaxed reach to the wheel but then as soon as I move to get my legs comfortable I'm too close to the wheel and my arms are bent uncomfortably. I have a 27" - 28" inseam...

One last try. Maybe use your welding skills and extend the brake lever arm and accelerator pedal brackets?:D

You’ll keep your OEM look without the blocks.
