It does handle the trailer surprisingly well.
We don't have salvage title in Alaska, it is has '' reconstructed vehicle '' stamp in title

First fill was 23.6 gallons and I had little less then 1/4 before fueling up. Does 3rd gen tundra have bigger tank? Cause my 2gen only take 21 gallons to fill when low fuel light is on

I think the options are 26 gal and 38 gallon but I may be mistaken on that first number. Awesome rebuild!

I still need to find a skid plate, dealer here in Anchorage want $373 for stock one( which is tons of money for the flimsy thing, I have one on my older tundra and it's so beat up now that I had to cut little bigger holes by the bolts to be able to remove it at oil change) or $568 for trd pro one which is per my wife ''very expensive piece of metal that nobody see'' . Do you guys know any aftermarket options in $300ish range?
Used ones are my second option but no junk yards in Alaska have one anyway.
I'm already slightly over budget and my wife would not be happy if I'll spend over half grand for skid plate, she could do a lot of shopping instead :spending::)

Damn, yea, I dunno then lol. I'd still say that that's better to go that route than what your dealer quoted you for that flimsy ass factory one, and it's still better than the pro one for cheaper as well lol (imo) . Any junkyards around you you could pull one off another wreck?

Porsche boxster S. I got 2 of them actually, bough one with automatic tranny and then could not get my wife out of it. Lesson learned and second one is with manual shift now. :)

That's what I thought. I have a 2000 base. They are a fun little car. Never thought of one until my old commander bought one and I took it for a spin. started looking that night for one. All the guys I work with think I'm loaded because I have a Porsche. They don't realize they cost less to purchase than a used Accord or Camry.

Working with one junk yard , they got couple wrecked tundras, told me to come over to see if they got it and if so I will have to take it off myself and they will sell it to me for $50. Nice!

Found this 2000 last year with less than 65K on her for right at 10,000$. Saving that just in fuel not driving the tundra round trip to work now ( 144 miles each day). And it keeps the miles of the tundra.

Fogs came in early, got them installed, I like factory led fogs ( those are from Lexus but they fits tundras as well, same part number)

Does Amazon have anything for skids? Prime shipping still works most of the time up there...

    Great work on the reconstruction!

Alright, project is done! Only skid plate and windshield replacement will be done next week, other than that it's done. Took me about 2 month to do this ( I bought it on Christmas eve) , 52 hours of my labor and 2 hours posting things on this forum :)
I'm very satisfied with results, thankful for all your guys opinions and advices, it was fun project for sure, will be ready for next one soon :)
Thank you everyone and God bless!

Raptor style amber lights - keep or remove?
Those are installed on bracket behind the grille, no permanent damage made to the grille, easy to remove
