That's one of those things that comes and goes.

White letters out. Adds a bit of nostalgia look to the truck. I personally like the classic look of white letters. Just my preference

I was driving through my kids school neighborhood the other day and saw a dad and son we know playing catch. I stopped to say hi and first thing out of his mouth was - "Dude, nice truck". My wife goes, "yeah, he blacked it out". My wife is not into my truck that much and could care less of all the work I've done on it, I was so proud of her. Point is, I like the blacked out look and apparently my kids friends dad does too;)

If you 4 wheel......BSW out. WSW lettering will get totally fracked up. We were all using BSW out even back in the 70's. WSW out was for muscle cars and street trucks back then. At least where I lived in Oar E gun.

Out is only if they are kept clean. I have seen many that look like crap because they are dirty. Otherwise in.

Nice....Alaska is a beautiful state in general. I was up there several times for Red Flag. (Aircraft maintenance). I started out in Montana and ended up in Fl.

Keeping white letters clean isn't hard at all. Most people, when they wash their truck, they use some type of brush on the tires, well spray purple power on tire, scrub with brush. Same way you always clean tires.

I had white out on my FJ and just scrubbed with a brush and comet to clean. But for the Tundra I like the all black look, cleaner. White out looks more like off road or race car look to me.

I think the look is pretty unique at this point. You wouldn’t ask if you weren’t considering it, so go with what pleases you. Post pics if you go outside. Out has been out of style for so long, you might revitalize the trend.

When I had my KO2's mounted I went with the black side out. Was finishing my RCI skid install tonight and saw the glorious white lettering and now i'm kinda regretting it but don't want to pay $$ just to have the white lettering out. Next time i'll have to try it with white lettering on the outside. Yes @easleycrawler I know ... you were right ;)

I personally think it depends on the color of the truck, if the truck is black or white I think it looks good. I definitely wouldn’t do it on my quicksand.

I feel it would look best if the truck was white or black. The letters really pop at the point.

I’ve never done white oubt but I was tempted with my last set of BFGs. Had I been driving my white tundra at the time I may have gone for it.

If tires are made with white letters, they are meant to be OUT. White letters on the inside looks like you couldn't buy what you wanted, and "settled" for what you could get. Tacky imo, but that's just me.

Having said that, my 2017 TSS came from port with upgraded tires/wheels and white letters inside. They will stay inside; not important enough to change them. It doesn't matter which side is out, you still have to clean your tires. If you get the black part truly clean, then the white letters will be clean.

I like white letters out, just have to make sure they are clean. At this point, having them out is a little different which is nice since there are so many blacked out trucks running around.

If i could find a decent set of 295/70/18 with white lettering i would buy them and go letters on the outside.
    To each their own
