No, by default all the safety features reset themselves to on after a shutdown/restart.

Yes it resets every time you shut it down. I had one of these installed in my old truck.

Pulling the ABS fuse also disables the nannies.

I've felt the difference just turning tow/haul on but is there that much more response with the nannies off? I'll have to try.

the "nannies" derate your fueling and steering control changes and the tires don't spin and its just a big ole basket of suck. because when ya wanna spin the tires and the truck computer tells you no. well it just makes for a sad day.

    I agree 100% ... it's like I'm 18 again and driving my '71 GTO.
My Tundra isn't the quickest or fastest truck on the road, but it is a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

    When you do this

Do you guys let the truck shift itself, or do you manually shift using the S mode? If you were to pull up next to a Dodge, GM, or Ford =)

I feel that is more for downhill downshifting it’s just a sequential mode for range on gears S4 = using gear 1-4 only if I’m not miss taken not sure if that would increase power band in each gear but

So I finally got around to trying Beast mode today.:eek2: Is it ok to drive like this all the time? I know tow/haul burns extra gas but with the other BS turned off I'm wondering if gas might be saved, esp when towing.

I run 285/75/18 tires with stock gears on a 2013 Tundra CrewMax. I’ve been driving around lately with TowHaul mode on ALL the time...... anyone see any issues with doing this?

I work right down the street from a hi performance gas, gas station. I put 93 no ethanol in my truck and combined with the DAP tune, it runs like a scalded dog...

I also have the option of putting 98 no ethanol in the tank, should I do it?

Wish I had pictures when I took my son for a ride, in beast mode the truck burned rubber well into second gear, I strive not to do that too often, the 265 Coopers have a lot of tread on them that I'd just as soon not burn off, not to mention my wife would be rather PO'd if I came to her saying that I needed some new tires.

When would you use each option?

    1) turn off by one press
    2) turn off by holding 3 seconds
    3) turn off by holding 3 seconds

And does each with tow haul on progressively make it go faster? Having tow haul on by doing step 3 is best for “beast mode”, “PMS” etc.?

I personally leave everything on while on pavement and turn everything off when I’m on dirt. But here’s everything you need to know.

I tried it today for the first time and it was faster and felt lighter, but 0-60 was only a 1 second difference. Does that sound accurate?

I need to try this too. The best I have gotten is 17.9 on the highway using cruise control and keeping it between 65-70 MPH.
