Base tune is ok, hard to tell a difference between it and the BD 91 tune. I sent logs in so hopefully the next round will be improved.

I am seeing noticable MPG improvement though.

Before I never saw better than 10, but now on my commute I can see 12-13 unless I'm in boost... Which happens a lot. :burnrubber:

Did 150 mile trip last weekend mix of freeway, 6+ hours low range off roading and averaged 13. Impressed!

I like the looks of the gold rims much more w/ these tires than the old tires. Great build!

I spoke too soon. While the gold wheels looked better w/ the new tires the black wheels look WAY better w/ the new tires. Good job! One good thing about a dip is that it is easy to bounce between colors. I picked up two heavily discounted sapphire black wheel kits from DYC.com for my chrome delete. Can't wait for some warmth and dryness!

    @Jbtaco2002

awesome build, I’m inspired. already ordered the grill and bulge. Also ordered a 3 inch lift kit, fuel vapor rims and 33s to mount on em. Are the links above for the lights you currently have on Your rig?
If not please send the links.

    Welcome to the forums!

No, that link is for a set of headlights I ran a couple of years ago. i can't recommend them...

i currently run the 2018+ Sequoia LED headlights, bought at the dealer. harness was supplied by @xrunnerdude67 who has a thread on this site and i'm hoping is still supporting the conversion. There are other offsite resources as well, but i can't speak to the level of quality.

please post a build thread once you get things bolted up! i'm always excited to see another lifted tree :yay:

Just seen a Sequoia pro at local dealer, the steps caught my eye. Like to get info on them to see if they fit tundra as well. I'll update if I can get anything from my dealer next week.

Wow! Love what you've done with your Sequoia! :muscleflexing: Yours and one other on the site is what brought me to join recently, but having trouble finding what all I need to do to eliminate my rear air bag suspension. I have no plans of offroad, but want a 3 inch lift. I've messaged a few companies and went to a local Toyota store, but no help at all.

please don't quote me on this, but i think the lower rear control arms for airbags is different, so replacing those with non airbag arms and sourcing springs should be the easiest approach. do some research and post up if you solve the problem!

    thanks!

Thank you! Might be getting with you on that grille swap and headlights soon if you would share that information. You’re correct about the Lower Control arms and found this kit. I ordered the rear spring seats from Toyota.

You get this installed? Just looked this up on 1st gen offroad and seems like there is a Richard that has left a review for this, maybe a coincidence but thought it may have been you.. Anywho, I have something very similar installed in my '08 Sequoia and can't stand how the rear end bounces all over the place, these shocks are clearly not valved for a fat pig like the sequoia. I used the 5125 Bilsteins as recommended in ToyTec's lift kit.. I am wondering how the 5100s fair as my other option is to start looking as custom King or Fox shocks which is more $$$ than I want to spend.

    Cheers!

You can just trick the rear airbag sensor to gain the 3inches it takes a 10mm wrench and about 30 seconds to do it.

Let me know if you need help and I can walk you through it. shane_oren@yahoo.com

Is there a way to drop the hitch mounted tire down to block less rear view?

this is the "high clearance" Wilco, if you get the standard one, i believe it'll be about 4" lower, but i'd prefer the better departure angle

Yes that review was me and I have a shop looking at quoting me for the install tomorrow. I will post picks and ride quality once it is all done and let you know how it rides.

Did anyone ever figure out if you could covert the 2007-2013 tundra grill over to the sequoia TRD pro grill?? Also can the lights and plastic piece (below lights) be converted as well?? Thanks for the help guys!

I got mine from TRDshop.com with free shipping. Came out to like $405 total. Pop the part number into Google and see what the shipped price is and order from the lowest one.

I really wanted the sequoia when i was hunting for my Tundra. Only thing kept me from
Buying the sequoia was the rear IRS.

your sequoia is nice, how are you dealing with the IRS? Is their extreme camber when loaded?

none that i've ever noticed. i load up for camping several times a year and even with 500+ lbs and 6 people in the vehicle, it still sits fairly level. articulation sucks, but we all know that going into this. i've debated a LT front to make up for some of the shortcomings of the IRS, but then again, i've had many surprises wheeling with Jeeps where i expected to get hung up following an open diff jeep that struggled on an obstacle, and I just crawled right over and through without spinning a wheel, or just a little ATRAC assistance. these Sequoia's are pretty damn capable.

I just bought a 2008 Sequoia last week. Truly had NO plans to modify the thing other than add a touchscreen radio with bluetooth to update the interior. I bought it for my wife to drive. Thanks to your thread here, I have ordered TRD Pro Grille, 2018+ Sequoia LED headlight upgrade, and now I'm looking at wheels! Thanks ALOT!;)

I've owned Jeep Wranglers for years so I know all about empting every pocket on mods... never thought I would be doing the same on the Sequoia! Gonna look like a new vehicle once I get the front end updated!

Quick question. Trying to find some 2019 TRD Tundra wheels. I'm not lifting the Sequoia and do not plan to take it off-roading, I have my Jeep for that (no offense to Toyota guys, just have a sweet setup on my JL and this Sequoia is a pavement queen for the wife). Will the 2019 TRD wheels and stock size tires fit without lift or spacers? Also, a notorious question on the Jeep forums... How big a tire will fit on a stock suspension 2008 Sequoia? Thanks!

so glad i could help contribute to your wallet's diet ;-)

pretty sure all Tundra wheels will be compatible, and tire wise not sure for stock, mine has been lifted the whole 5 years I've owned it, but i can say 35's fit with with my setup and no rubbing, trimming etc
