There is a BBQ joint that is in Bluff City, TN called Ridgewood BBQ. It is right outside of Bristol and Johnson City. Sits out in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road. Looks almost like a double wide. Best Pork sandwich on earth. I try BBQ everywhere I go. Been to a lot of Memphis famous place and as far as pork sandwiches Ridgewood is the best.

Up until a couple years ago, they were only open 2 hours for lunch, then 5 to 7 for dinner. At dinner, you would have to get there at least 30 minutes before they open to get in line. If you were not sat by 6:30, you would have to leave and try again as come he'll or high water they are shutting the doors at 7.

really under the radar, but a lot of presidents and famous country singers eat there. During the Bristol NASCAR races it is a stop for drivers and everyone else.

There sandwiches are completely different. They have a smoke shed out to the sides with multiple locks on it. They bring the pork in and shave it like Arby's roast beef real thin. They then grill it off on a griddle with their raspberry sauce. It get really light and crispy and so tender! Best sandwich I have ever had!

My family comes down from Ohio and visits and every time they want to make the drive to eat there and tell everyone about it!!!

Fries are hand cut and cooked in straight lard.

big bowl of straight homemade blue cheese and crackers for appetizer.

    best baked beans on earth!!!

Louie Muller BBQ Taylor Texas. He was a combat medic during normandy he's been running the place since he came home. He mostly sits in the back office in his wheel chair now. A few years back My brother in law and I got a chance to talk to him in the back office for about ten minutes...Man I gave him a razor sharp salute. Their brisket is stupid good unreal.

If you're ever in the St. Louis area, first I'm sorry, but Pappy's Smokehouse has some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten. The sides are suspect but the meat is amazing.

The meat from Muller's in Taylor is truly amazing. My wife and I waited in line for 90 minutes one day to get lunch. However, their sides are awful. I would not go there again.

Kreuz Market in Lockhart is really good. Our local truck club went there one weekend and we filled the restaurant (we had about 60 trucks and around 200 people).

Black's in Lockhart is still my favorite BBQ. My wife and I did a local Texas BBQ tour one summer and, out of all the BBQ joints we ate at, we agreed that Black's was the best.

While being the fast food of BBQ, Rudy's is really good and consistent. I always take out-of-towers there first so that they have a good base to compare from.
