Does anybody know approximately how much a +12 offset will stick out past my wheel well, and would I need fender flares with that set up. No a big fan of them, but really like these rims i came across. Any suggestions or comments would be great. Thanks

I'm looking at 305/55/20 Toyo at2 , the rims I am looking at are the Black Rhinos ( Sierra). Just don't want a real aggressive set up

Those tires will probably stick out a couple inches with +12s

Don't get really wide offset wheels if you don't want an aggressive setup... I'm not a fan of wide offset wheels anyways, but they look better with bigger, more aggressive tires. I'm a fan of less wheel - more tire... I didn't like the 18s that came on my truck either.

You will need to get fender flares with those wheels and tires. I have 18 mm offset with stock tires right now (with pocket style fender flares). At this point, I don't have much room to go before the tires poke out beyond the fender flares. I would expect 295's to be just about flush with the flares.

Hey Ron, maybe these photos will help you out a little.

Keep in mind these are 20x9 +12mm offset with 35x12.50 tires. Not everyone needs a set of mud terrain tires. Decide on the type of look you're after and find a tire that fits your budget.

I like that set up , so if I go with 20x9, +12 offset, with 305/55/20 tires, excluding mt's , I should be close to that set up? Thanks for the pics, that gives me a good look and I have some options and decisions to make

Wow they do look good, I will look at that tire, did not know they had that. Are the offsets still the same on the 3rd gen as the 2nd at +60? Thanks for the pic Trucky, and by the way I spied your truck and it's bad ass, what a awesome sounding exhaust. Waiting to get mine going with Keith.

Thanks man! It just depends on the rim. But everything else should be almost exact. For the tire, you would be good with a +10 to +30. There may be some heating and massaging of the wheel well plastic, but I'm sure not much. I plan to run the same tire. Haven't decided on a rim yet, but I'm thinking the +12 would be what I will run with my 3.5 inch lift that's going on shortly.

I thought that too but its funny what the lower offset does to the look. Not to mention AT tires. That pic I posted is 17 inch methods
and a 3.5 inch lift. That setup makes the tires
look bigger than 35s and looks like a larger lift. I love that look but dont know how much the paint will love it for long without flares.

Our Tundra has roughly a 3/2 lift on it. With 305/55/20, you'll have almost the same amount of poke. Tire width can vary from one manufacture to another.

I'm pretty sure I can read numbers correctly, lol. It's our own Tundra. These made our previous set of Toyo MT 305/55/20 look puny.

This is the old setup with just a 2.5" spacer lift up front.

Just a side note, I forgot the exact numbers, but I remember that the weight of the Moto Metals and Toyo 33" MT was within 1-2 lbs of our Stealth 6 and 35" General AT.
