Yeah, I thought about it, but had just recently watch a video of an FJ Cruiser breaking a CV shaft in a similar situation. When I build my 1993 Land Cruiser, I might be a little more aggressive.

Here's one of my projects. 1993 Land Cruiser. Solid axles, front and rear lockers. Center diff locker. Fits 33" tires no lift. 2-3" lift will fit 35".

I hope you don’t mind an opinion: it was the line. By staying in the troughs, you had sand, so it was hard to get traction. Staying on top of the hard-pack berms gave others better traction. Plus tires make a difference; I know you shared with me afterward, that you hadn’t aired down as much as some of us.

Plus staying up on the berms keeps the truck components from getting broken.

But you gave it a great effort! I could smell rubber and engine. No lack of effort, for sure!

There’s that too. That higher line looked a bit scary. Not ready for body damage when there’s a chicken exit.

I’m probably going to look for another set of used wheels & more aggressive tires for trail use.
