Thanks for the thoughts. He has Clear Cell Sarcoma of the kidney. I also sense some special needs in him, unfortunately.

"Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney(CCSK) is an extremely rare type of kidney cancer comprising 3% of all pediatric renal tumours. Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney can spread from the kidney to other organs, most commonly the bone, but also including the lungs, brain, and soft tissues of the body."

So sorry for the battle the little guy is going through. San Diego has some amazing docs for cancer. I lost my identical twin brother 10 years ago to a very rare leukemia and I was hit with the same deadly leukemia 5 years later. Some how I beat it. 4 years clear as of Jan 1, 2017. Life is precious ! My prayers go out for your cousin. I live in San Diego and my wife and I found this plaque over in Coronado while I was battling. Please pass these words on to the little guy.

Nice. I just carry a 2 piece aluminum shovel. Have one in both cars. Something like this.

Any special use for it or simply securing things? I have 500 feet of paracord at the house for random stuff. I love paracord.

Yep. Break out of heavy duty zip ties or duct tape if you're ever held (kidnapped)
Such as in a home invasion

You can use it as a rope to climb off a hotel balcony

There's more usage too. You should read Spy Secrets from Jason Hanson (CIA) I literally read his book in a week or less. Tons of great tips in there that may save your life one day.

I tested the zip ties and duct tape myself (without parachute cord) and broke out of them. My daughter has been taught this as well.

Nice. Ive dug more fighting holes and trenches than I care to remember with those things. They also can be a brutal weapon.

I rank it up with duct tape as far as usefulness. I even made a hammock out of the stuff in the Philippines.

My yard isn't fenced in at the time and I have some ran about 120 feet across my yard and anther 30 foot cable to that so my dog has access to run the whole yard.
