I think you can buy a new cover and have it welded on, as long as the rest of the rear end is ok.

Hello there, how is your JB weld on the diff cover holding up? Did you drain the fluid prior to using the JB Weld? I was curious if the JB Weld would adhere to a damp oily surface. I have the same issue on my 03 Tundra and just recently noticed the leak. It seems like JB Weld and POR-15 might be an economical fix. Thanks!

Do a search, there's a bunch of diff cover threads. Stick a pop rivet smeared with gasket maker into the hole and that should buy you some time while you figure out your final solution.

I tried a few stop gap solutions such as JB Weld but they only lasted a few months. I finally put on a welded Barnes 4WD cover and have had no problems since. It's kind of a big job but it's the best long term solution.
