About 2 weeks ago i got stuck in an iced over mud hole and when i got pulled out by my buddy my speedometer and odo quit working ive cheaked the wires i can see abd i thought of but no ripped wires
    I have the p0500 code
I already pulled my abs fuse as soon as i bought the truck and when i did the wheel bearings this summer i broke one of the front speed sencers but it had no affect on the speedometer
I dont have traction control or stability control
    It is a 2005 regular cab v8 4wd
    Any ideas?

Installed remote start, throttle controller, transmission oil cooler, front and rear TRD sway bars and K&N air filter.
Your speedo gets its signal from the rear speed sensor. I don't remember if it is the left or right. I do thing its the left rear speed sensor. I had a customer whose speedo stop working and i found that squirrels ate his sensor wiring harness. Once harness was replaced, speedo worked.
