    I'm thinking about de-badging my truck... and removing the pinstripes and TRD decal on the side of the bed.
    Question: my truck is a 2014... will there be shadows of where the badges / decals were? Should I try this myself or have a body shop do it?

    Remove yourself.
    Blow dryer or heat gun. I used a blow dryer and heavy fishing line that acted as a "saw" when I removed the badges.

    This :rofl::rofl:

    The fishing line and heat gun is the best method IMO :thumbsup:

    Yea I agree with the others really isn't that hard to get them off. The hard part is actually trying to get all the reaming sticky stuff off of the truck.

    Does the hair dryer thing work with the pinstripes and decals as well?

    Yes it does. Just heat and peal them away. Will still be some residue left that you can use some goo gone to remove it.

    A little of this and a little of that.
    What Brian said. I just did my decal removal and replaced with something else after Christmas. Was pretty simple.

    Definitely do this yourself. You'll need some 3M adhesive remover, 20lb test fishing line, hair dryer and patience. Head it up but done just let the gun sit on the decal, it'll bubble. Once you heat it up, work the fishing line behind it and kinda saw at it. Might have to heat it up a couple of time but it come off fairly nicely. The TRD symbol is cake, just a little heat and she's off. Spray it with adhesive remover and then if you have a buffer, I'd buff it and you're good to go.

    Am I the only one not into de-badging? When I see a truck without any badges it makes me think it was repainted.

    I guess it's personal preference. I like the 5.7 badge and TRD decal... but not the tundra on the door too much.

    Just makes the truck look clean in my opinion.

    Absolutely do it yourself. It's not bad.
    It really is personal preference. I've been on the fence a long time about mine. Some trucks look great debadged and some look plain and cheap. Decisions decision...
