Hello all, I've learned a ton from this community over the past few months and I really appreciate it. I've had a Tundra for 14 years but missed out big-time on this knowledge until just recently. Here are my rigs:

My first love: The day I got her brand-new off the showroom floor, a 2006 SR5 4x4 DC. My previous car was a 1992 Buick LeSabre, so this was quite the upgrade. I planned to drive her until the wheels fell off, which I knew would take a long, long time. Couldn't leave her stock, though, so...
    Gen 1_1.jpg

Gave her some love. First mods were wheels / tires - Moto Metal 951 with initially Terra Grapplers then a variety of models, but mostly LTX AT2's. Level kit, bull bar, grill insert, Katzkin leather, premium stereo, Rhinoliner, Bakflip cover, Webasto sunroof (regretted this), and a few other things I'm probably forgetting. Drove her like this for 182,000 largely trouble-free miles. A catalytic converter went out under warranty, the rear window seal leaked one time under warranty, I learned the hard way that going over big bumps with a spacer level breaks things, and paid out the nose for an AIP fix while in limp mode. Other than that she gave no trouble.

Oh, this happened though. Three days before my wedding I was parked at a friend's AirBNB when the neighbor knocks on the door and says, "I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but my tree fell on your truck." Well that was a pretty heart-stopping moment I tell you. He immediately opened a claim with his homeowner's insurance, and after I got back from my honeymoon I worked the adjuster pretty hard to pony up a five-figure number to get her back to shape.

    And then opportunity came knocking.
The second picture above, looking all gorgeous, is actually the day I sold her. Why would I sell such a gem? Well, a good buddy of mine basically gave me his gen 2 that he no longer drove or needed. So I seized the chance to get a newer truck with half the miles, and put Ol Blue on Craigslist, where she lasted all of 50 minutes before I got a call with the winning cash offer. It was sad to see her go, but sometimes you have to move on.

So here's the new gal. A 2008 forest-green SR5 CrewMax 2wd. Owned its whole life by my good friend, who got a Tundra because he liked mine so much. Very clean, but also pretty boring. He put leather and running boards on it, but otherwise bone stock.

Take my money, forum! That's what it feels like, lol. After cruising these boards for a few weeks I had my mind made up on what I was going to do. Immediate upgrade was wheels and tires (SCS SR8's in Dark Matte Bronze) plus LTX AT2's in 275/70-18. Swapped the tow mirrors for standard OEM because I don't tow and didn't like the size or the visibility. 5100's to level it out. Threw on some TSS running boards courtesy of @Hondoman. Tinted the windows dark. Put on a Tyger bedcover. And most recently put on a Rock Warrior grill and Alpharex Pro headlights with v.4 LED's from @Headlight Revolution. It was a nice day yesterday so I spent a few hours going over her with IronX, clay bar, CarPro Hydro, and Beadmaker. Very pleased with how it turned out! I'm just about done; I have the Plasti-Dip for the badges in the garage, and am contemplating what to do with the bumpers. The plan is now to drive this gal for a long, long, LONG time... Thanks for the support!

Good to see the Toyota life is treating you well! I'm sure the Tree part had you stumped for a bit, but I'll Leaf that sensitive subject alone. ;) Hopefully that luck doesn't Branch over to the newest Tundy!

Good Morning from Atlanta, GA! :hattip:

One of the first steps when we bought this house was trim the branches over the driveway! Fingers crossed that the trees are healthy and won't just keel over...

Very nicely done. Your truck should be mentioned all over for parts that fit from 2nd to 3rd gen and how to got about. I like the 2nd gen with 3rd gen parts. I wonder if I can change out some 3rd gen to 2nd or even 1st gen parts. I watched the tundra develop over the years and they came along way. Congrats on tundra and welcome from PA.
