My heater core on the 04 needs replacing.
Is there a link with a step-by-step guide available.
What little I did gather indicates a complete dash
    removal. Thank you.

I haven't seen a guide, but I believe @empty_lord recently had his dash off and can point you in the right direction.

Dash removal is not too terrible, when I get home tonight I should be able to pull up the instructions and post them. I didn’t have my heater box apart, but I was damn close.
