    08 Tacoma TRDOR
New member coming from TW. I'm still probably 2-3 years out from a new truck but starting all my recharch. I have a 08 Tacoma TRDOR With the sr package as well. I love my truck. Never had any issues with it. It has 135k on it. Now to why I'm here. I have recently become a dad 7months ago and instantly my assecc cab taco became to small. I can still fit a car seat in it with the passenger seat way up. It kinda works for now but the plan is from another kid in 2-3 years max. I don't really tow much but will need more space. So looking into tundras. (Used ) probably a used 2nd gen with low miles. I do drive a lot 65 miles a day to work and back. I see most of you guys have come from a Tacoma and wondering pros and cons. My options as of now. Are trade the taco for tundra around 25-30k
Keep Tacoma for fun camping overland rig and get a tundra for about 15-20k just to use with the kids and when bigger vehicle is needed.
Or trade for double cab Tacoma same 25-30k range.
    What do you guys think?

    Welcome!
I had a DCSB Tacoma; traded that for a DC Tundra. Found the space to be too small in the rear seats for car seats.
Traded that in for a new (current 2014) Crewmax. Plenty of space!

Welcome. If you can swing it, keep both. I wish I could have. But whatever works for you financially while still getting what you want.

try to keep both, get a used gen 2 crew max. Lots of space for growing family in crew max. Most likely you wont stop at 1 ;)

For reference, a double cab Tundra has a little more rear seat leg room than a double cab Taco. A CM has more room than most NY apartments

My thoughts as well. I first planned to get a used Tundra, then Certified, then I figured I was better off going brand new and dropped more than I wanted to go that route. I wish I could have kept my Tacoma but I wouldn't have used it for the things it looks like you do, it probably would have just sat. I'm glad I made my decision because I was able to get something reliable with a warranty, etc.

If you really want something to beat and something more for family, two is better than one, but less money to spend on the family rig means it wont be as fresh.

You know your priorities best, good luck!

As long as the options are all Toyota's, I don't think elanything could be a bad decision haha.

Welcome bud. I think 2 years apart is the best. 3 is ok too but try not to have the kids more than 3 years apart. They can relate to eachother much better and will play with eachother. Oh, and tundra for sure.
