There is a formula based on circumference. You can search it online with most tire stores. In my case, I add 8% to miles for bigger tires.

Question, why does the date or month of the truck built is such a requirement for parts? I have a 2002 3.4 standard cab, built 4/02.
When I went to purchase tie rod ends or brake pads they wanted to know the size.
Did I purchased the bastard child?

Mine feels the same way. I need to clay bar like crazy. All that metal dust in the shop while I was doing the suspension didn't help.

Regular cab and not 35" tire life :burnrubber:
Then again I am averaging 14ish and when I'm on the highway (20-30mi a day or 50-75% of the miles usually) I am driving 75-80. I guess it's not too terrible. If I did no more than 70mph I'd probably get 15 or so.

you can take the amount your speedo is off at a certain mph and get a percentage that way. That's what I did. I need to redo it though. Either people are driving slower and slower or I'm forgetting my speed holdovers for these tires.

Because of in model year changes....for example, the calipers/pads for a 2003 Tundra are different depending on the build date.

    Ugg. So many questions....
Thank you for the information on the build date.
Woulda K&N air filter help with mpg for the tundra?
I have installed them on my 4cyl Ford fungus and it helped greatly.

Don’t waste your money. 12 hole injectors, headers, if you really wanted intake, get an AIraid intake tube (won’t do much but sound good)
Headers technically can increase mpg, but the sound usually ends up in more skinny pedal. When I put my thorleys on my Tacoma I got 2 more mpg if I managed to baby it on the highway (800 dollar price tag though)

What items should I address or check for buying a used tundra?
Right now I am taking care of the items that were included in the sale. Like new rack n pinion. So new tie rod ends with grease zerks. Then I noticed the brake pads were gone and the rotors looked like the craters of the moon.
But the pre owner claimed synthetic oil from day one. Timing belt/pump replacement ontime with milage done.
    But unknown of automatic transmission.
Today I am planning on replacing the brake fluid. Checking out the rear brakes.
So what would I also do?

It's the same suspension but on a 4wd there is a limit to what clip ring you can raise the front. Running 265/70/r18, but I'll be upgrading them soon to 285/75. Sorry for the late reply

I’m was thinking of lowering it but I’m leaning against it now, maybe do a 3/1 leveling kit and these wheels. Any thoughts on lifting a 2WD truck? How common is this?

It's very common around my area to lift any truck. I think those wheels on that color with a lift/level would look fantastic!

Knock out the entire wheel painting today. Pretty stoked on the results from Duplicolor Acrylic Lacquer rattle cans. The weather was perfect and my hands were in ‘the zone’.

I wet sanded the side doink the other day which is looking better. The gloss is coming out better, but at the same time showing more imperfections. I’ll fine tune it another day.

Double checked my brake service from the other day whilst the wheels were off to make sure everything looked good. No leaks that I can see.

No need to replace them; cut off what is remaining of the broken legs and use these inserts in the holes. Works perfect!

Got my driver seat cushion back from upholster and I'm pleased with the outcome. He has been in the business 40 years and only charged $105. The only bumming I have is the lack of leather I was able to take to him. Was only able to give him a drivers upper portion to work with due to the damage others had done to the other seats at the salvage yard. Great weekend weather wise tho and took all seats out, cleaned and conditioned with Lexol 1 n 2.

My research suggested the 5002007 part number was a closed unit made for the 4WD; 5002334 is an open unit. My research also stated both will fit and work fine.
Maybe some of the other folks here can chime in...

The door trim moldings are painted in Rustoleum Bed Liner from Big Box store. The red accent is Duplicolor Barcelona Red (Toyota Color) from Autozoned.

Cool thanks! I made sure to save it this time!

Those Michelin tires are 33s right? Would I need less lift if I went with a normal highway tire instead of a A/t Tire?
