How was the install on the FireFly's...I picked some up about a month ago but then I read a couple horror stories about install and blowing fuses etc.....now I'm too nervous to install them

I didn’t have any issues. I chose not to disconnect the battery so I could tell if the polarity was correct for each LED without having to reconnect the battery to test each light. The only difficult part for me was getting the tiny footwell bulb out. I ended up wrapping it in duct tape (while the bulb is cool) and very carefully pulling it out with some needle nose pliers. Save that one for last. The rest were pretty easy.

new to this forum and Tundra ownership. Been reading up on the Tundra and many of the mods. Great info here. I have done some work on my recently acquired 2015 TRD Pro Crew Max.

Installed a Front Runner racks front and rear. Went with Front Runner since I have that rack on a Land Cruiser also.
Installed a Bed slide because it is pretty handy, I built one for my SUV to handle having the dog kennels at the back and putting gear behind.
Installed new lighting to the ARE cap since the existing was not working
Brought power to back end to run whatever
Installed a Pop&Lock to lock the tailgate via remote.

Canton/ Ball Ground is a better choice. Woodstock is getting too crowded.

what size shackle did you go with? I did a +3, but I may have to go with a +2 or +1 once I put my C4 hybrid bumper on this weekend.

I did one .5inch shim up front and +2 shackles. There is not a whole lot of rake, but enough I think.

Go for it man. It wasn't bad at all. I read a few threads on here about all the problems that people had run into, so I knew what I was up against. I started out with the battery disconnected. Got the dome light done first because it seemed easiest. Vanity mirrors next. On to the Footwell.......first snag here. The base of the LED was just a hair too big for the socket. I couldn't tell if it was in correctly or not, so I reconnected the battery. No light......kept fooling with it, and finally got it to go in, but when it finally went, it deformed the base (of the LED) and caused the fuse to blow. No biggie.....had to run some errands, so I picked up some fuses while I was out. Reshaped the base of the LED with a pair of pliers and finally got it to go in no problem. On to the front map lights....passenger side, no trouble at all. Driver's side, I had the issue where the bulb socket ended up getting pushed up into the housing. Had to remove the whole overhead console to fix it, but really wasn't any trouble. After reading the couple of write-ups on here about the common issues, I was prepared for the trouble that I might have. Even with the issues I had it only took me probably 45 minutes to all of the interior lights (not including the trip to pick up fuses). Still gotta do the cargo lights over the bed. It's really not a difficult job at all.

You can mirror your phone via car play/Android auto but I feel like you're wasting the potential of these heads doing that. Let the headunit run the apps. I have my note 9 set up so when it connects to the dasaita's Bluetooth it turns on the hot spot. When Bluetooth is disconnected, it turns the hot spot off.

have you been over any rough roads with it? does it shake or vibrate? it looks front heavy. i hate how the replacement head unit brackets are all flimsy plastic now.
