Where did you get the adapter to retain the factory USB?

well installed a dvr camera purchased from Amazon
it does come with its own app. Works great!
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MBYCG4C/

Pluged in the front directly into Dasaita

    Purchased a side camera https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F294PWG/
For my right side parking and blind spot view.

Will be installing side camera into beat-sonic front camera switch and will use the front plug for the side camera.
Lucky for me the switch works with this radio.
    https://www.beatsonicusa.com/cs6ep.html

Also ran an HDMI cable to secondary screen with touch capability closer to eye level. Having a case 3D printed by a service.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VV7RL7Y/

Added volume button and updated a few things in its firmware to make it work better.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PH3VXZT/

New microphone improved sound for BT.

I can't find any wiring diagrams for this head unit online. I just ordered one and am trying to figure out what accessories I want with it. I'm assuming it has a steering wheel controls input on it so I should be able to use something like this:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000263723413.html

Has anyone tried this and can confirm that works? I have a base model with no factory controls. It looks like Dasaita used to make their own steering wheel remote, but it looks like you can't get it anymore. I've also seen a TV tuner attachment. Kind of geeky, but might be handy when camping/stuck in bad weather. I only want to tear up my dash once, so want to get everything installed.

If anyone has a link to the wiring diagriam/install manual, that would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if this has been covered already. I did go through all 38 pages of this thread, but it all kind of blurs together at some point!

So I got everything working minus the backup cam (2007 Limited w JBL). One of the instructions that come with this adapter states that I need to tap into the reverse signal of the vehicle as well as the reverse signal of the radio. I, however, do not know where the reverse signal of the vehicle is. Jmh139 did you have to do this? I have attached pictures below how I have connected the wires but it doesn't appear to be working (nothing on head unit when I go into reverse). Are there any settings on the head unit I need to change?

    Thanks.

bottom connection behind passenger kick panel, is directly between the backup light relay, and the harness going to the taillights. You need to tap into that harness then to your headunit.

Installed my unit today(worst part of the install was the dash kit). Love it thus far, crazy how much better this sounds compared to the stock unit.
    To do list:
    1. Get front camera and install.
    2. Stock USB port isn't working, think I have a loose connection (yes I have the adapter). Not a huge issue since the dual USB ports I ran to the glove box works.
    3. Mess around with the ground connection, getting a low buzz/hum when no audio is playing.
    4. Update firmware.

@egibson606 I've been communicating with a Dasaita Rep. and trying to verify what comes with the head unit and what/where I need to purchase. Can you give a breakdown of what all (ie, harnesses, adapters, dongles) came with your head unit and what you had to purchase separately? Also did you get it from Amazon?

Yes I ordered from Amazon. I had planned ordering from dasaita directly but really couldn't get a direct answer if they would include the proper canbus harness. This is what I ordered:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XQ5VVSG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title (found a great deal on Amazon warehouse which was basically new)

    Canbus harness:

    Adapters to use truck GPS:

USB adapter to use stock USB port:

Thanks! I'm having the same issue with getting a direct answer from Dasaita....a bit frustrating because I want to buy the unit. Also, to maybe help with the low buzz/hum your getting, there was post (maybe on page 35 or36) about a fix...going to Amp settings under "Other" and lowering it to -3 db.

This is probably a really dumb question, but how do you remove the screen on the the 10.2" tilting dasaita? How did everyone get the dash kit on once you have the radio installed and bolted in?

I ordered the plug and play harness for the non-jbl head, but pulled my dash apart last night, and it looks like when I had a Kenwood head installed they spliced into the factory harness, so I'm not sure it will work. Can anyone confirm at what connectors the plug and play harness plugs into. There is a bundle of three connectors that are hells together pretty close thatI am hoping is the right place to connect. I should have taken a picture!

I got my unit installed today. Everything works except for the universal wireless steering wheel control I bought on Amazon. Not sure if it is my wiring or the device is bad. My reverse image looks awful and noisy compared to my old Kenwood. Not sure if that would be a grounding issue. Really like it so far, and will love it if I can get these 2 issues fixed.

how does that Hub work due to its not a powered hub? I have the Phenix 12.1 radio and the USB port will not even charge my Power hungry iPhone Pro Max at all. I need a powered hub I would think. Im sure a non powered hub will work ok for USB sticks but what about for say a USB OBDII over USB reader or an external 2.5" hard drive?

I have 3 USB outs from Dasaita. DVR cam is on dedicated. So is the phone. But 1 left over is what powers the volume and screen. No issues TBH.

So anytime my unit starts up(I keep it in sleep mode) the volume is at 11 or 12 instead of the volume I last had it set(18 or so). Anyone know how to fix this? Nothing major at all just kinda annoying.

Does it look like a bird's nest behind the radio or nice and tightly? I would tessa tape all the wires up like an umbilical cord. Cable management. Then it wouldnt be bad during radio removal.

I did something dumb today. In trying to get my remote keys to work, I got the reset panel keys button, and now none of my panel keys work. I tried to use panel key study option to fix it, but that doesn't work. Has anyone ran into this before or know of a fix?

    Thanks!

I think if someone with a working unit can export their dmcu.img file from the factory settings and send it to me, that will fix my issue. Would really appreciate it!

I've had this headset installed and running for months. All of a sudden, rear camera won't show. Put it in reverse and yellow triangle exclamation point.

Recently updated Google apps but that's it.

    Anyone else run into that?

yea I get that once in a while. Some times connection comes loose. Sometimes I restart the system. Happens rarely. Check connection to camera behind the head unit. Not hard to pull the radio.
