I am huge into kayak fishing and the Tundra seems to have sufficient power to haul my rig. Over the next few months I am planning on doing a few mods:

    1. Get rid of that hideous chrome grill (ABS Grille w/3 Amber LEDs ordered)
    2. Paint Chrome Front & Back Bumpers
    3. Replace 275/70/18 BF Goodrich All-Terrain A/Ts
    4. Upgrade wheels
    5. Install after market audio system

On a different topic, I need to find the brand and possibly model of the rim on this photo. None of the four wheels have the center cap and I'd like to order them. The wheels were already on when I purchased the truck. IMG_20190816_111219073_HDR.jpg

They look like Ultra wheels, just not sure which model. The "Bolt" model is damn close, just doesn't have as many spokes but I swear it's just a different (or newer) version of yours. Hope this helps.

I have one of those hitch extenders, it's collecting dust so glad to see it works for you

Thanks man. This is barely my second truck and I'm loving the 4-5" lift it has. And yeah, that Hobie shines in saltwater.

@Pbear1454 how do you like that grill? It's the one I'm expecting delivery for this week. Planning on color matching the outer enclosure, hopefully my local body shop doesn't get too greedy.

It's the stock grill which I customized by adding the LED lights and DIY brackets and wiring. I like it a bit more than just 3 led bulbs. Are you getting the EAG grill?

EAG/ABS, yeah I got it. Now I'm shopping around for a body shop to paint the enclosure to match paint

I don't know man, I need something to fill up the wheel wells. Was thinking about swinging by tire shop to have a talk with them. I am estimating the lift but need to take more exact measurements. Thinking that I'm over five inches on the lift, which would mean that I have a lot of options.

One of the considerations is impact of such a big tire on the already horrendous MPG!!!!!

If it were me, I’d go with 35’s at minimum. You probably could fit 37’s if you’re lifted as much as you think. But then again, I personally don’t care what mileage I get.

Excited, my grille arrives today and dropping it off at body shop for color matching of enclosure. Install will have to wait until Saturday. Paying $275 for labor and paint. I'm happy with the deal. Will post before and after photos once installed.

Did some work on my truck's audio today. Have replaced all stock door speakers with some Kenwood middle of the road aftermarket speakers. Not going crazy with the upgrade, just want a better sound. Also installing dual 12" shallow mount subs under the rear seat on a tech12volts built enclosure. A Pioneer AVH-2500NEX is on order and will go into the truck sometime next week. Also fabricated a mount for the amplifier...unsure where to mount it though...whether under the rear seat or under front passenger. Any suggestions?20200103_161234.jpg 20200103_163446.jpg 20200103_163540~2.jpg 20200103_172129~2.jpg

Decided to black out my badges with some plastidip, big difference and love the subtle and new difference. Planning on plastidipping the front and back bumpers. One thing I didn't account for was the sub 50 degree temperature and its effect on how thick the spray comes out of the can.20200110_165749~2.jpg 20200110_165728~2.jpg 20200110_165749~2.jpg

Continued with the chrome delete. Got the bumpers done today, huge difference. After I had taken care to ensure entire bumper was clean, I found some residue on edges of the backup bumper lights. Didn't think much of it since it was on the plastic board of the lights and not on the chrome portion. It came back to haunt me. Once I peeled the tape off, the residue didn't allow the spray to reach into the crevice between bumper and the plastic light frame so it wouldn't naturally tear off and was coming off the bumper. Manage to save it. Hoping that it will dry better and stay adhered without issue.20200118_115756.jpg

How high will your bed extender go? I just installed a decked system, and wondering if it would go high enough to match the decked bed height. I think it is about 12 inches higher than the factory bed.
