The chrome needed to go in some areas, so I started to do some searching for replacement door handles and mirrors then I kept realizing the replacement mirror caps didn't look like my chrome ones...sure enough

Pulled it into the garage and got out the heat gun that weekend.

The handles cleaned up great but the silicone and epoxy the prior owner decided to use stained the mirrors...they look horrible ive tried everything including a 12 hour goo gone pro soak...So I bought more they should be here this weekend (found used pair fleabay $50 w/ heat)

Next up was my first attempt at PlastiDip...it went ok...screwed up the Tundra door logo on one side and had to let it dry to pull it off and try again...came out good round 2...5 coats is what I ended up doing on each.

The week after, I think on the 23rd, we had some nice waves roll in with a front so it was time to test out the 4x4. :mudding:

Things got a little crazy the other night on the computer...went to some dark places and left with some Bilstein 5100s for all 4 corners, CB Shims, and 1.5" shackles. Only the fronts have arrived still waiting for the rear 5100s. I sourced the front and rear separately, saved some coin...

Installed all the lift components this Saturday. Took me 6 hours total to do the front and rear.

Front was installed without spring compressor. Hang-ups were getting the lower ball-joint bolts lined back up on the spindle. And rear bushings were a PITA to press out with a ball joint/gear puller, heating them up with a torch helped a lot I feel like...Otherwise went smoothly.

    5100s F/R - Middle Setting
.5" CB Shim on both sides
    1.5" Pro Form Shackles

I wanted to figure out a way to secure my .380 inside the lid of my console. I found it fit perfectly in the tissue box area. So I came up with a simple solution, a leather strap with snaps. Snap kit was a marine grade kit purchased from Amazon. Kit included a single punch tool to make snaps. The snap ends came with screws in them to secure to whatever it is you like. So those were screwed into the plastic console lid.

RCI Front Skid installed. Got it local for $175, just a few weeks old before owner sold his truck. Stoked on the skid. The stock one is a joke in comparison. However it didn't come with front carriage bolts for plastic fender attachment, so I had to use some stainless that was in the garage...

Fumoto Valve, metal filter housing, motivx tool and hose kit all came in. As well as hopefully a fix to my weird map light thanks to the information provided by @csuviper .
