Just a quick tip of the hat to ESP for accommodating a last minute changes to my order. Nice folks and fast shipping too.

    Hello all,

Any noisier after cutting the holes out and taking sound dampening out!

How's the cabin noise, I just installed a TRD dual exhaust and wondering if it would be any louder if I get a aluminum ESP

Those ESP storage bins look nice but the price?? I can go down to home Depot or lowes, pick up 3 plastic shallow bins, trace them out, cut 3 holes for less then $20 bucks??

All the posts I've seen regarding the noise question have indicated no increase. I don't remember anyone stating a specific exhaust system though.

Its a shame that Toyota cant just put one there stock!

If you guys do it, I will follow, :drunk:

    Stock for now!!!
Good info on sound (road noise) after install. My platinum is the quietest vehicle I have ever owned. Was hesitant to install seeing how much insulation you cut out. Thanks

Do you leave any insulation between the unit and truck metal body!

No insulation, but their install vid says to peel the carpet off the foam and place it in the cutout under the box to prevent rattling. I think a lot of people don't do that and it works fine for them. Mine is in the garage and I'll install it next week along with a lock 'er down center console safe so I'll post back.

I put the carpet insulation under mine (tried to use the carpet cut outs but seemed a bit to thick). I did mine last week and have not noticed any more noise. ESP did a great job with this product. The install is pretty easy just like the video shows. It was a bit of a challenge doing it by myself but doable (they tell you that it should be two people). It looks like it was done at Toyota. The ESP people age great, very responsive to questions and the shipping was supper fast.

Have you seen Goodfellas? When they take Eddie Bass, the guy they beat the hell out of at the bar. When they took him out to bury him they used Lye to decompose the body.
