Well, next week, I get to go from the Phoenix area to the Seattle area. (Is the airport abreviation thing big up there, it is it just a PDX/Portland thing?)

I am trying to figure out what I will need to get, to go from this sunny desert to the dark rainforest up north. I know the sunrise at 8am and sunset at 4:30pm is going to take some adjustment.

I have done a couple things to my truck, some dechroming and putting in things that are stock on a TRD. My goal is to have non-shiny unstickered TRD.

I am working on the picture upload thing. My phone died. 20200106_155149.jpg

@gosolo did the same move and I don't believe he needed to do anything to his truck or did anything special to adjust to the change.

Just be sure you have new wiper blades installed and a reserve set in the wings.

    Is this a permanent relocation?
The best thing is that the PNW is where they invented great coffee and there’s as many micro breweries as fir trees.
The short days in winter are reversed in the summer with daylight lasting till after 9:00pm. I put blackout curtains on the master bedroom so I can get to bed.
If you bought your tundra in Phoenix, you might want to replace the micro card. I believe they are regional specific, but never really validated that. My Pro was purchased up here several years before I retired and got out of the desert.

    Travel plans or actual relocation?

Tires that are good in wet conditions will be your best friend. Mudd varies from across the state if off roading.

    Safe travels

Moved from Tucson to Everett, WA. I put the Tundra in drive and headed North through Utah then Idaho then veered West at some point, not sure what you're referring to on specific needs to move here... Is there some specific info that you're looking for?

OMFG! People need to learn how to drive!

Who laid out the roads? In Phoenix, there is a law that says that roads must be built on section lines. Who did it here? A bunch of chimps on acid?

And the more important question, who built these roads? A bunch of 3 year olds with their Tonka trucks? I can understand county roads being bad, but the roads inside the cities are much worse!

LMFAO! These are liberal states! You moved the wrrrrong direction!
They spend umpteeen trillion dollars sitting around drinking Starbucks, listening to Grateful Dead, and trying to engineer bike paths on every Fing road.
That’s where your pothole money goes. Well, and to pot. :D

The Lexus on 20’s doesn’t see pavement until after all of the rain is long gone and the potholes are patched. Sooooo, that’s usually about August 31st-Sept 15th....it gets a few miles a year. One oil change generally.

Eta - oh, Kings are your friend around here.

btw - don’t cheap out on $15 wiper blades. Go for the premium Bosch. It’s the best $45 a year you’ll spend on your truck. You can quote me on that.
Can’t tell you how many cheap asses I pass that have $10 blades and can’t see SHIT when it rains. They’re the ones doing 45mph on I5 N with a 65 limit....in a Prius....in the left lane.

I won't fight on the other points (how could I), but this one? Phoenix has ZERO water, NO mountains, very few hills and is only sprawl... Easy to setup a city when you're building in a pancake flat world no? Just drop down a major strip mall every 5 miles, connect it all with a grid and call it a city. Here we have to build around some of the landscape a bit. Hard to compare these two in my opinion. The drivers, and roads (in general) I won't disagree on.

    Welcome nonetheless!
