Best to call him. I haven’t followed too closely as my brakes seem fine to me. Might change my mind once I upsize my tires, but I ran 285/75/16 on my 2001 and had no issues.

Yup. Have the same diagram, but thanks!

We used healthy amounts of sil-glyde from Amazon in all the right places. Had a shop inspect the drums. As per the norm for many new drums, these are out of round - one of them fairly considerably, certainly enough to cause shudder. Having 'em machined is cheaper than cost to ship back, LOL. I'll know tomorrow how it all works...

Dang it would be really good to know the specifics and the caliper code on these.

That's the ARB I would've considered. But I only found that other one with the chrome hoop

Appears to be the same brakes as a brand new 4runner.
    Rotor depth is what I’m
Curious about they’re 2mm shallower. Typically yhis means your rotor will hit the caliper on these trucks

Hmm appeared he ground the inside of the caliper to make the caliper and rotor fit.
My biggest concern would be will the pads wear evenly?
These calipers might be very usable if wilwood makes a rotor hat for these trucks

Probably your standard panel clip trimmed and sanded down and then painted.

@theblurry1 when you swapped your console out how many brackets were there? i only have 3 sets of holes 2 of which are close. im pretty sure i have to find a different console box bracket set. I see other nuts on the bottom of the truck, but sheet metal is above them. if you have pictures, that'd be awesome
( @because_wumbo-truck if you take your console out anytime soon i would like pictures... yours is similar year wise to mine)

Want to have a damn secure center console.

The rear hose requires a 14mm at the end that dives down to the diff. All others are 10mm.

I have and like and will be keeping 16” wheels so this gx460 upgrade looks like its going to be too big.

As it stands, isn’t the WL brake barely going to fit? I stole @bmf4069 pictures to study/meditate and looks like these have just enough room.

Wl is close. But you’ll be fine.
The wh caliper pretty much NEEDS 17” wheels

It depends on the 16 inch wheels. If I remember correctly, they will just fit on nearly all Toyota 16 inch wheels except for one set that came on 3rd gen 4runners...and even those fit with very minor grinding of the caliper edge. Since they made the update in mid-2003 and 2003 Tundra's had your same wheel, I'm 99% sure you are good to go...

Cheap plastic plugs color painted to match. May not look the best, but shouldn't be too noticeable.

The shell's on the list :) My last truck was black with a red shell and it looked awful, kind of like an old man truck, had it that way for two years and never actually ended up painting it. Here's my list in order of priority

    Leaf springs
    SPC UCA
700# coil springs (I have my toytec shocks set fairly low so I think with lower preload the 650 are too soft)
Exhaust (drone on highway is awful)
    Front light bar
    HID Retrofit
New head unit (current kenwood takes a full 30 seconds to turn on after I start the truck)
    Front speakers
Get sub box out of the back seat so my kids don't have to snuggle with it (probably try one of the small powered underseat sub options and if that doesn't work, get the crutchfield box that replaces the little storage compartment)
    Paint canopy
    Replace damaged bed
    Bumpers

Also is this outside window trim movable? Its been off since I have had the truck and I keep forgetting to ask anyone who has messed with it or seen it with the panel off and window down.

They fit under the starfish wheels well enough. You will have to trim the dust shields a tad. You can see here where I trimmed a bit too much off.

A branch/ helmholtz resonator would probably take care of that drone. Mine makes my magnaflow knockoff muffler with no factory resonator and the exhaust dumped before the axle pretty quiet.
