    Got my base tune Friday. Flashed it today (91 octane). I'm running 93 octane. Holy shit! I had no idea the truck was running so poorly before! :rofl: Had the DAP tune on it. Didn't bother reverting to stock tune first. Flashed perfectly in about 60 seconds. Did my logging today, and sent the files on to Mat. Appears to have gear lock with Tow/Haul on, but no direct shift yet. So smoooooooth............ and strong, to boot!

    Mine does something even stranger: It has gearlock in S-mode/tow, but it stops working when going up long hills on the highway. Like halfway up the hill it starts downshifting, and then a minute or two after I get to the top of the hill and the road flattens out it starts holding the selected gear again. Extremely annoying. @OVTune basically said to wait for the final tune with gearlock and direct shift and then it should work as designed.

    Mine does the same thing. And doesn't lock the torque converter. When I spoke with Mat about it, he told me that would be solved with the next transmission update. Annoying, but nothing we can do except wait.

    I'm pretty darned sure I have gear-lock working. In S-mode with Tow/Haul selected, the torque converter will unlock, but I can't force it to downshift, even at full throttle.

    Yesterday I noticed the warm idle seemed lower than usual, was around 500RPM in neutral. And that's the warm idle that I logged. But today, the idle is a little higher than it used to be, running what looks to be a bit above 800RPM.

    on the Tacoma you couldn’t pass 86 mph. Sounds like it’s now fixed

    You guys can go over there and read it directly from them. They can give you first hand accounts.

    The ECU is just relearning fuel trims, that usually happens during battery disconnects and the trims are cleared from the ECUs memory. The idle will return to normal as it relearns.

    I loaded my base tune and I’m impressed so far. Truck is very responsive. Much better driving experience. I towed the trailer in tow and haul mode and I got better mpg.

    The problem I had was while logging on the highway I went for one of the WOT punch at 65ish mph and at somewhere around 90 mph the ECU shut it down where I had no accelerator pedal and the transmission stayed in the gear it was in when the ECU shut it down which was too low. It scared the crap out of me for sure.

    I am on 35's with 5.29s

    So I lost the functionality of my aftermarket Alpine Halo "gauges" screen when I flashed this tune. Is this normal...is there a fix?
