Anyone watching a comparison between the raptor and pro should also look for videos comparing the towing of a tacoma to a tundra. About the same relevance

I watched the video. The Tundra holds it own pretty damn well and considering there’s a 20,000 dollar difference in price its a hell of a choice for the consumer.

Didn't watch the video, but still same complaints about the Tundra's lack of tech? Old platform since '07? Small display screen? etc etc

It was actually a pretty fair comparison of two vastly different trucks.

The comparison of the 1st gen Raptor with the current Raptor was interesting.

If I were given one I would go with the 72,000 Ford.

If i am buying (In which I did) I went with the Toyota Pro

    Why?

This is more than likely my last truck. Getting up there in age (I am 51) I dont see myself buying one in the next ten years.

With what I have discovered and this is based on my own driving and owning is that the Toyota will be my last truck because it will last that long.

I drove the Raptor and loved it, loved the looks, the seats were like what sex feels like sitting down.

But for 20,000 more I can buy a lot of hookers to not sit in those seats.

I dont do a lot of off roading and if I do I am sure my Uncle Joes 1972 pickup could go in the same places.

I don't think the Ford is junk, I don't know if it will last ten years or not. I dont know if mine will.

I do know that all of my Toyotas are still going and one is almost 20 years old

There is a high end used car dealer close to me who gets in used Raptors from time to time. From what I have noticed, they dont hold up nearly as well as the Toyota's I have and do own. Fit and finish stuff mostly. I thought about buying one when I was looking for a used truck. Ended up with a gently used 2015 TRD Pro instead. Why? I have no issues with running this Tundra to 200k plus. And I will. Not so sure about the Raptor.

I'd love to see them do a follow up of both after 200k miles.

You can put 15k into an SR 5 4x4 and have a more capable and more reliable truck for 15k less than a Raptor.

That would require the Raptor to make it that far.
