need help : exhaust donut gasket orientation

    This is the rear tailpipe section to the muffler via clamp. The donut gasket fell off when removing tailpipe and I do not remember which way it goes? Taper toward the front of truck, as pictured?
    Google was no help, under the truck now.... dont wanna tighten it up until I know

    Well I flipped it. Seemed to fit better.

    Flat side- face muffler…

    Question I have is do you know the OEM part number for that metal donut seal from Toyota?

    I’ve searched with my vin but, unable to locate it
    Would it be possible to grab your vin# that way I could double check Toyota's parts epc…
