I have a 2017 tundra off-road sport series sr5. When I accelerate with the radio all the way down I can hear what sounds like white noise or static coming from the passenger side door speaker. It gets louder the faster I go. You can’t hear it when the radio is on ( obviously). Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this.

Do you have a stock setup? I had an issue like this on a previous vehicle that had an aftermarket head unit. I used a different ground than the one used.

Hrmmm. Is the rear doing the same thing? Check the wires on the amp. Sorry bud. Hoping I could help.

That's the typical alternator whine you get with aftermarket gear.

Rather strange for a stock radio.

Just a guess, the radio's ground isn't making good contact anymore.

@CPdaddy the rear doesn’t do it. Just the front passenger side.
@Twinky i was thinking the same thing about a ground. Guess I’m going to have to find a wiring schematic and check it out

I would bet a bad ground as well.

Do you have anything else that's installed, like a radar/nav ect? or plugged into one of the power ports/CIG lighter?

That could cause a ground loop if so.

    Ahhh
ahhh. That narrows it down. Is the dash speaker doing it as well? Maybe remove the door panel and check the connection to the woofer. There also might be a power source cable near the speaker wire causing the interference. I’ll ask one of my coworkers, they were into competition sound systems in a different life.

Do you have a aux cable inserted in your radio? My radio does that when I have an aux cable plugged in.

I remember when I had a ford..... As much as that statement alone could go in so many different directions there is something related that annoyed me. Anytime I was charging my phone and listening to the radio there would be a whinning noise.

    Just throwing that out there.
