I bought this Tundra this month knowing that the sunroof didn't open. Didn't know that sunroofs were such an expensive problem! Anyway I had a friend look at it and he found this bracket on the left track disconnected and bent out of shape:

I took the glass off by removing the 2 8mm bolts on both sides so I could take a closer look. The bracket on the right is also disconnected. It looks like it's supposed to connect to the hardware that the glass is bolted to and then run along the wavy track below it:

The wavy track is what is connected to the motor and both sides slide back when the switch is activated. So I'm not sure how that wavy track is supposed to pull the glass back with the bracket. That's where I need help! If anyone can send pictures of how all this hardware is connected properly on their sunroof maybe I can figure out how to fix it.

I'm also worried I might be missing pieces. I found this screw loose in the track on both sides of the sunroof:

Thanks for any help!! Hoping to not have to spend $500 to get this fixed! :)

Hey I have the 2004 tundra limited and my sunroof doesn't work either. Did you ever find a fix for this?
