Glad you redid it, looks great now. There's no way my OCD would have let me leave the vinyl like that. o_O

Nice. Now i have to find that black and red stitched dash panel that is on the passenger side. I've already done black and red stitched katzkin, so that would look awesome.

@trdlife thanks for posting - this is exactly what I've been hunting for. I started plasti dipping all the silver parts in my 2015 - going red like you did. Great write up - i'll be doing the same this weekend!

Just wanted to thank the OP for the write up and pics.

I've actually had this center part in my attic for over 2 years.
The shop that installed my AM HU scratched it and bought me another one, I never did swap it.
I marred my center piece removing a Rokform magnet from an old phone case this week.

    2tl1abho_zpsgvtemgyl_20c15b1620bbb3c47d18206b93eff81e472823be.jpg

    qua5hdu6_zpssjqsdutg_09c0ba4720265ddd43f9e663b41761819664b612.jpg

So I swapped the part out today using this thread as a guide.

I was concerned I'd have to pull and retape my AJT vent rings.
But I was able to simply remove the vents and replace them into the new center piece.
Vents are held in place by 3 small clips.
I may eventually swap that silver panel out for a black SR panel.

Damn I'm dreading this. I'm going to replace the silver surround with the SR package black surround. If anyone near the upstate of South Carolina, that has done this, I'll be more than glad to supply the beer if you want to do this for me. Lol

Geez, thanks for easing my mind. Lol. As bad as I hate to, I may see what the dealership would charge to change it out.

IMG_8205.jpg For a 2020 Tundra they have changed the lower trim piece and was had hoped to find out how to remove it. In my 2018 there were 2 bolts and then it just poped off with the clips. With this 2020 I removed the 2 bolts however there is something holding it on the left side. Anyone know, I don;t want to break it.

Thanks that did the trick, I was trying to take a short cut and didn't remove the foot panel, as sooon as I did that it snapped right off. Great video and like the blue trim and boat!
