Where can I find a ‘20 spare key blank?

I’d like to make a couple of non-chipped spare keys for my ‘20 Tundra’s tailgate, driver’s door, and glove box. I’d like to hide one of the non chipped keys on the outside of the truck to gain access to the cab to use the hidden spare chipped key to emergency start the push button start in the event of losing the fob.

Does anyone know if the ‘20 key is the same as the ‘18 or ‘19? Looking at key blanks online, the ‘20 looks different. The dealership only has chipped blanks at a hefty price, but told me they would laser cut a non-chipped key blank for me if I found one that would work.

Any thoughts on where I might find a ‘20 key blank, preferably non-chipped? Thanks.

No, sort of gave up looking a few months back. Maybe someone else out here has had some luck.

I don't have a cheap option. Lexus has the same type of key blank, so you may be able to get just a plain blank key online or from a Lexus dealership.

I went to a local locksmith here and had a chipped spare made when I got my truck (it's a 2018) without the fob crap for $75. He had chipped, non chipped, and fob versions hanging on the wall. A local locksmith/key shop should be able to hook you up.

I’m interested in getting another key cut for the tailgate. If I can get a blank, my local hardware store can cut it for me. I stopped in today and they checked their blank key suppliers database and they had no blank available, or even listed for the ‘20 or ‘21 Tundra tailgate. I’m sure the stealership can get one for me.....for crazy $$$$’s.

Has anyone found a source for tailgate key blanks.

    Coming soon.
I had 2 non-chip keys made at a local locksmith for my 2019 yesterday for less than $15.00. They open the door and tailgate with no issues. I will drill a hole in one and put it behind my license plate and use the other when I go on the lake/dirt biking/mountain biking, etc..

Thanks. I went back to the hardware store today and they were able to cut another key for the tailgate using the key that pops out of the fob. When I went to the hardware store the prior time, I gave them the valet key......which is a thicker key.....and for some reason is laser cut on two sides......vs. the fob key, which is thinner, totally flat on one side and laser cut on the other side. The moral of the story, don’t try to a get another key cut using the valet key as the source/template key. What’s funny is that our ‘13 Avalon Limited and ‘19 Avalon XSE both have fobs, but no valet key......just the key that pops out of the fob.

My Toyota dealership that I purchased my new 21’ Tundra cut me two “tailgate /door keys”. They charged me $8.59, each. Not too bad since no one had that specific blank either.

I know locksmiths who make keys for cars, which can make you a hidden spare key so you can use it without worrying that the key will lock or break. I, too, have secured myself with such shenanigans. I have about two duplicate keys, each one fitting a different door. That way, no one can steal my items from my old pickup unless he has to break the glass. I've never understood drivers who make themselves one universal key. It's not always convenient, mainly if someone checks your stolen key on every door.
