I get this is about the grill, but how about some side pics and other angles, so we can see the 'full effect' of what you've done?

Edit: Or do you have a build page?

would a sequoia lower bumper fit on the 2nd gen tundra, if so, would it close the gap? Does the Hood sit higher on a 2nd gen tundra than the sequoia, is that why the gap is on the bottom?

To me, that grill looks like a cut down Tundra grill. Notice the “bulge” and no surround below the black center.

Do you know what years that model bumper was available and does anyone know if it a direct bolt on with tundras bracket or do we need to modify or swap for sequoia's bumper brackets?

i can't be quoted on this, but 2nd gen sequoia bumper hasn't really changed from 2008 to 2020. all mounting points to the frame are identical to the tundra, but i believe the sequoia bumper will only fit 2007 to 2013 tundras since the facelift changed things on the front end in 2014.

however, since i've seen 2nd gen sequoia with an entire Tundra 2014+ front clip and hood, obviously there is some interchangeability for those with pockets deep enough to make it happen... :spending:

Well the grille came in yesterday and I got a minute to install it today. I love the look it gives the truck. The truck will be heading to paint soon to get the bumpers color matched.

I am painting my truck and it is slow going. Can't wait to get my installed. Beats buying a new Tundra for the updated look!!!

    This looks incredible! Nicely done.

Do you have the PN#'s for the grille and upper trim piece in MGM by chance?

    Thank you!

Looking for a little clarification on the conversion for TRD grill.
I have a 2008 Tundra and reading through these threads, someone mentioned two radiator brackets (53117-0C030 & 53118-0C030)
Are these bracket needed for the 2008 Tundra to Sequoia TRD grill and LED headlight conversion too?
I have the grill, upper bulge, moulding from Amazon, LED's, 2 filler plates and have ordered the wiring harness.
    Am I missing anything?
    Thanks in advance.

    Awesome, thanks!
Just waiting on the wiring harness I ordered two weeks ago.
Everything else came in pretty fast.
Once those arrive, off to paint shop.

I didn’t need the brackets when I swapped mine. Everything bolted right up.

for 2007 to 2009 tundra had a different grill bracket. 2010 to 2013 tundra had same bracket as sequoia. if you have 2008, you will need new mounting brackets.
To remove your 2007-2009 tundra grill, start by removing the bulge fake air dam by lifting the base, (I used a plastic tan remover tool, you can maybe use a screw driver but i would tape it up to prevent scratching) tabs will pop, move across and keep on popping them upwards. once all loose pull it towards you and the upper tabs should pop out.
unscrew the Phillip's screws and you can set aside in a sandwich bag or put it back on once you remove the grill.
under the grill, remove two 10mm bolt for the hood release hinge latch thingy and let the rod just hang down.
from the back of the grill there are a row of nuts. remove all of those. one of them go through the mounting bracket itself on each side. if it begins to just spin and not come out, you'll just have to make the decision to yank the grill off and have that bolt pull out of your grill or you can spend the time to try to make it not spin somehow, it's a very tight space to do that and its spinning because the plastic on the grill that holds it in place is already cracked.(let's just hope all the nuts come off). the grill should pull straight out once you remove all the nuts. (I hope, I'm recalling all of this off of memory)
the brackets are removed by undoing a nut on each front side if the hood that sits under the grill and then two bolts on each side under the hood. you can pinch the plastic tab that holds the bracket in place and it should slide on out.

install the new sequoia bracket by snapping plastic tab in and it will somewhat hold in place, install two bolts on the underside and nut on the front side to give it stability for each side. brackets are done.

remove white screw style plastic tabs from front of hood with thin screwdriver, they should just pop out and install new female style plastic tab, mine were yellow when I got it from dealership. new grill will have the Male style plastic tabs(white) that will pop into the yellow tabs. the sequoia grill will have a bunch of bolts that go into the grill from the back side not nuts like the 07-10 tundra grill. I spent about $19 buying new oem bolts. should be straight forward from there securing everything down.
    hope this helps.

sure, I literally put the grill on today, it's a replica. only reason why I knew all that info was because I had to do all the legwork (with help from beau) and research on how to make it fit on my tundra because it didnt come with all the hardware for a tundra or a sequoia. Headlight are alpharex midnight series and slowly working on getting rid of chrome, color matching chrome bumpers really makes it more modern looking I think

The gap under the grill is barely noticeable.
