My mirrors have a little BSM marker but it's not lit. I don't think it's wired for it though. If the mirrors have it wired and it does stay on check the connectors to see which truck one is blank and the corresponding mirror one is pinned - could then de-pin that wire and tape it off. That way it's not cut and can go back in if it's not the right one. Don't see how it could be lit up without connecting wires to send a current through.

so yours work perfectly and are entirely plug and play (with the exception of wiring the reverse lights yourself. thats easy i got that part)

    They work how I expected.

They don't have running lights on the forward part, that is just a signal light. And they bolted right in and the heated part works fast - like they're melted faster than the area around the windshield wipers.

I finally settled on a set of mirrors. My mirrors have everything I was looking for in a row mirror. I got them off ebay. They have BSM, heated, power, front facing clearance lights and blinkers and also an inside the mirror blinker, so the front and back of the mirror blinks. Best of all they are sequential lighting for the blinkers. I have attached a photo. I'll grab a video of the sequential lighting of the blinkers if you guys want.

JC-TRD did you have power mirrors prior to installing these? I have a 2018 limited without was wondering if I switched out the mirror control switches would I be able to run the mirrors you used?

Just look for the options on the new mirror that you currently have.

Yeah the sequential lighting is awesome I love it. Also love the tube led lights vs the LEDs on the other models. Link is here.

Are the supplied wires for wiring up the turn signals? The trailridge mirrors have the signals wired to the connector because the factory mating connector has the contacts for the signal wiring.

Actually for mine they were 100% plug and play. No additional wiring was needed. I have a 2017 limited and the signals both front and back of mirror and also clearance lights worked right out of the box plug n play. As many stated on these forums, the limiteds at least, are wired from factory to have turn signals and clearance lights built in factory harness but for some reason not offered from Toyota via factory mirrors. However additional gray/white wiring is included in all aftermarket tow mirrors it seems, with some mirrors those are needed to get clearance working via grounding the clearance lights, with these they are not needed. I believe those extra wiring are to make the spotlights work on the edges of the mirror. For me I decided not to activate the spot lights. Everything else works 100% plug n play. The one issue I have with my set is the BSM lights are not bright enough to see in the day time. Does anyone know if the BSM lights are built into the actual mirror itself or are they backlit. I was thinking if backlit I would just change the bulbs out to LED.

Do the mirrors vibrate at all? Been wanting to pull the trigger on a set but can't stand mirror vibration.

Haven't noticed any wind or road vibration on mine - only vibration is from the mid range speaker in the door when the sound is turned up. Had that same issue with all mirrors.

Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but I have a dilemma that I can't figure out. I have a 14 platinum, and recently swapped out my mirrors for the factory towing mirrors. They have the front amber led, and according to all I have found on the threads is you need to add a power wire to pin 9 to allow them to operate as front marker lights.

Problem is, I'm in Canada and all 18 pin wires are in place on the harness. Driver side is purple, passenger is brown. Not sure if anyone can help me identify how to get the running lights to work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks everyone!

Factory tow mirrors don't have a front facing led, They're on the sides.
Maybe post a pic of then?
Get a test light. They're under $10. You can check the wires 1 by 1 and the test light will light up when you find the right wire when you turn on and off the switch.

My apologies, I meant the side amber running lights. I'll see if I can get a test light, but I moved to a rural area of new Brunswick, not sure who around here would have that. I'm about 35 minutes to the closest place that would possibly have this. If I know what pin powers the amber running lights I could just bypass the pre-existing wire and feed a power feed to it.

    I'll keep you posted...

I'm looking all over for it. I tapped into 1 on my 2014, just can't remember which one it was. Someone has to know which pin and plug.

I did, but the pin on both sides are occupied but wires, not sure if I would remove them and wire power to that instead? Was not sure if in Canada we got a different wiring configuration?

If I'm understanding correctly you would have to swap out that wire in pin 9 location. From factory that wire gets power once the lights are turned on, if I read it correctly you want it to be on like a DRL so that would require a wire powered on with the ignition.

The mirror lights weren't designed to be on in all driving situations, only come on with the lights. Even SR5's are plug and play even though they don't have those lights on standard mirrors.
