I survive on the antenna, YouTube (Free),Pluto, and Amazon Prime. Security is separate. Internet is $95 for 200mbs unlimited.

Youtube TV. 50$ for a month, but you get everything you'd get with cable only you can watch at anytime and from any device.

I would like to just have internet at my house and drop the cable but it cost more without the ‘bundle’. Has anyone ran into this issue? That’s even with having my own modem and router. Such a rip off Comcast

That happened to us. The bill was more than $200 / month so we cut it, but then we did not have the bundle price anymore. Phone and internet was as much as the bundle. Then we had to pay extra for Hulu and I did not like not having the TV guide on demand, and some channels I liked to watch were missing. The original cable company called us and asked what it would take to get us back us customers. We told them what we were willing to pay and they honored that. The guy was very nice and said that we just had to call them up right before the year is up and tell them not to raise the price, and they will do that.

Thanks for the info. I spent an hour on the phone with them on Thursday trying to get them back to my original price but no dice got about 10 off a month so somewhat close to what I was paying.

Anyone try to make their phone a hot spot and stream?

Cutting cable for us was an instant 70 dollars a month free. Streaming is the way to go.

All I have is high speed internet via cable @ $70.00 a month, so if it's not included with Prime - I'm not watching it.

We have netflix, hulu, Amazon prime, disney+, funimation, vudu, fiber internet, and we still aren't paying nearly that much. I haven't had cable for 11 years and don't miss it a bit.

we bailed on comcast a few years ago. they kept raising rates and i got tired of calling and asking for a better deal. if i dropped the tv and just used internet, it was still stupid expensive. switched over to centurylink and got gigabit fiber into the house. no neighborhood slowdowns or dropouts anymore. $75/month. comcast was 220ish.

we've got netflix, Amazon, disney+ and hulu with the hbo add-on. no more commercials. i'm not a sports guy so that doesn't bother me but i've got the f1tv subscription which covers me.

Lowest package of cable internet supports streaming of multiple devices still, $30/mo on some promotion for 12 months, own router, paperless/autopay discounts, at the end of 12 months call com cast back up and complain, talk to cancellation dept, get new promotion. Repeat at the end of every promotion time period. We've done this for the last 5 years. youtube, netflix (from a family members account), Amazon prime ("free" content included with $129/yr prime membership), and access to a friends plex server for newer movies and popular shows (donations for expanding server capacity as needed). We don't watch local channels but could hook up antenna for local digital access. I don't understand why people throw away $200+/mo on this stuff! More money for truck parts.

Usually returns a savings that equates to ~$400/hr for my efforts even though talking to the cable co is more painful than self-forking ones eye. Seems like a good return to me, also I'm cheap but it all adds up! I try to only spend money on things that bring real value to my life, not just having sunday ticket to keep up with Jones' I'll go watch it at their house lol.

Columbus IN, more like central Indiana but I avoid going north from here unless it's to the UP Michigan.

Cable tv is unbelievably expensive IMO. I have only ever subscribed to Google fiber, sling, and a couple of the other similar type services at my wife's urging. I haven't kept any of them for more than a couple months. But I watch no tv, I mean zero. So even those I mentioned are expensive to me.

AT&T installed fiber optic in my hood last year, I can switch over and save $30 a month for 12 months then continue to save $10 a month after that. The speed is identical. Do any of you have experience with AT&T fiber optic?

We have ATT TVNow (formerly DirecTVNow) as well as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.

We have been with DirectVNow since its inception and have the GoBig package(No longer available). Maybe 110 plus channels/networks
to watch and we pay little over $60.00, plus the internet bill.

With ATT TVNow, Neflix, Prime and Pluto. We have more to watch than possible in a week...lol

Tried the free 2weeks of Youtube TV. May end up going from ATTTVnow to YouTube, if ATT keeps raising their prices.
