Should I buy a loaded used 2015 Tundra platinum edition with 148,000 from a Toyota dealer or should I save my $25,000 and keep looking? I done a lot of research and they are supposedly the best built trucks out there?

For $25K I would keep looking, or use it as a down payment for the one you want

    Welcome from NY.

    Good luck with your decision.
That's like 30k miles a year. Even though these trucks will last I think that price is to high.

$25 for a 15 with 150k miles??? That seems way too high of a price tag. I would talk them down. 18k seems reasonable. Offer them that and if they don't sell it after a while they'll come down.

An even better idea is to take that 25k and put it towards a brand new truck ;)
I have absolutely zero regrets getting the 20 platinum

I will keep on looking. I saw another 2015 platinum for $34,000 with 33,000 miles.

Save your money, and wait for a 1st or 2nd owner cash deal from the individual owner.

Welcome! My thoughts are this... 25k is a lot of savings and half way to a new one with warranty. They are all pretty well built. The 2015s are reported good, but most of them are. I bought my TRD SR5 2016 with 40k miles and platinum warranty in a private sale for a few thousand more. Ask yourself where you want to be in 3-4 years and base your decision in that. If you take out a 4 year loan on a newer model with low or no miles, you will have a lot of value.

Also, if you were to buy a 2019 platinum, put 25k down and get the 0% interest for 60 months, you're looking at a very low payment. I bet you can talk a dealer down to 45-47k on a new 19. So, say you get one for 48k OTD with 0% for 60 months with 25k down, you're looking at a monthly payment of less than $400. Plus you're basically getting free money with the 0% interest and the satisfaction that your truck is brand new and you'll know exactly everything that is done to it afterwards maintenance wise. IDK what your financial situation is, but if you can afford the payment for 5 years, I think that's the way to go.

Keep looking. My 2016 with 33k miles was 31....so that's 130k miles less for six grand more

In 2018 I got $20k for my 8 year old 2010 trade in. They listed it for $26k. Not sure what it sold for. It had about 95000 miles. That price seems about right for the listing to leave room for negotiation.

I bought a 14 platinum with 172k, it was a one owner with all service records, it came with a rolling tonneau cover and upgraded head unit. Got it for 18k. 25k seems a little steep.

As others have said. Time is your friend here; especially if you’re not pressed in getting a vehicle. At that price I would expect lower miles.
