I have a 2015 sr5 with chrome galore, I of course don’t want chrome galore so I’m colour matching my new attitude black trd pro grill and my own chrome hood bulge to 202 black. Here is my progress sofar...I tried using a scotch brite pad on my RO sander and it did scuff the bulge up a bit, I then washed it in the shower with some soap and more scotchbrite, but realized it wasn’t enough. I took the bulge back out to the garage and hit it with 80 grit on the RO sander and it finally came out much better...this weekend is warming up a bit so I’ll be able to bet the garage up to painting temps and I’ll be hitting it with black epoxy primer, then sandable primer, sanding this smooth, then duplicolor 202 black followed by 2 part clear. I’ll post more pics when I get a chance.
