Any years to be careful of? We had a 2004 for awhile. Liked it but it was a rust bucket. Looking for used with the 5.7 motor. Hoping to find a 2013 or newer that will be around 20k. Been searching online and some prices are all over the place.

Highlander could be an option, need the 3rd row at times. Two boys and large dog to lug around.

    Thanks much

Yeah 2nd gens are better in that the 4.7 seems to suffer more and more from the dreaded P2440-secondary air injection problems. The rust is just an issue of where it live and if someone cared enough to rinse its under sides one a month or never. The 5.7 is mighty, mine gets 16.5 in mixed driving.

Between a highlander and a sequoia, just think of size of occupants and distances you expect them to feel comfortable. The sequoia has far more 2nd and 3rd row legroom, full grown arse men fit in both rows, not quite so in the highlander and they wouldn't last past cross town without complaining.

Patience is required when looking for any vehicle but especially one where only about 12,000 or less were made per year: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Sequoia

Luck and enjoy the chase. : ^ )))
